Competitive and intense gaming demands the best gaming gear to ensure lag-free, smooth gaming. This AOC display features a 144Hz refresh rate requiring either a gfx card or DVI-Dual Link computer port, effectively 2.4X faster than a standard display. A lower framerate can make enemies appear to jump from spot to spot on the screen, making them difficult targets to hit. With 144Hz frame rate, you get those critical missing images on the screen which shows enemy movement in ultra smooth motion so you can easily target them. You won't have to put up with input lag and screen tearing with this AOC gaming display.
Fast 1ms GTG Response Time Delivers Smooth Graphics Rendering
A 1ms GTG fast response time means you get to enjoy fast-moving actions without worrying about image smearing or ghosting that occurs with slow response time. In other words, you get to experience a lag-free gaming with that desired competitive edge as it should be with this smooth rendering AOC gaming display.

G2460PQU allows you to switch between seven different screen sizes: 17" Pillar Box (5:4), 19" Pillar Box (5:4), 19" Widescreen (16:10), 21.5" Widescreen (16:9), 22" Widescreen (16:10), 23" Widescreen (16:9) and 24" Widescreen (16:9). With this display, you can get the best possible view for any application or game.

Pros: Performance is great at a silky smooth 144hz. There are lots of options in the settings menu to calibrate the picture to your exact preferences. I used a guide from Tom's Hardware to customize my gamma, color and contrast settings and the picture quality is now pretty much indistinguishable as my old IPS monitor, but with more than twice the refresh rate. The stand is really the best I've ever gotten to use with a monitor. Raise, lower, tilt up-down or left-right. Feels nice and sturdy. The casing of the monitor itself is all plastic, but the black parts on the front are textured to look like brushed metal. Very nice. And the red strip along the bottom gives it a sporty look. Also, has some nice power saving options if you're into that kind of thing...
Cons: This is a TN panel, so your viewing angles won't be as wide as an IPS panel but you can move and lean comfortably in your chair without worrying about your picture starting to look washed out or anything. There is a difference but I personally don't have issues with it during normal use (gaming, web browsing.)
Overall Review: As I mentioned in the title, I think this monitor is about as good as you can expect so I'm giving it 5 Eggs. But no, it is not perfect. You do have to position the monitor well and adjust the settings for optimal performance, but the efforts are worth it. This monitor is a great option for anyone wanting to step up to the 144hz world. NOTE: I use a DVI connection. At first, I couldn't go above 60hz and I couldn't figure out why. Turns out it was the cable I was using. Once I switched to the cable that was included with the monitor, the problem was solved. Learn from my mistakes, fellow Newegg users!
