Pros: This board is the best motherboard I have ever had, The layout is awsome, the temp read out on the debug leds are great. The passive heatsink is awsome, no moving parts to make noise or mantain, all the voltage controlls. I got this board for $249 and couldn't be happier. The vreg temp issue is nothing I have came accross. It gets to 67c max no matter what I thro at it. BIOS 6-8-10. Having the SATA 6gb/USB 3.0 enabled adds an extra boot rom to the startup, slowing it down a bit on startup. overall great motherboard :) Thanks EVGA and all your staff for all the hard waork you guys do.

Cons: Only a few cons, I don't like the CPU power pins right behind the vreg heatsink. As another reviewer said, the dang warrenty sticker covered up the mounting hole for the cpu. I had to peal it back just a tad to install the heatsink. 1 last thing, for SLI you have to use slots 1 and 2 to get 16x to both with that the cards are right next to eachother. I wish I could use slots 1 and 3 giving it more space but if you use slot 3 at all it gose to 8x PCIex. But these are nothing to take an egg off for.

Overall Review: I have been overclokcing since the first Athlon days, Tbird 1000mhz to 1200mhz lol and used a bunch of great MBs. DFI NF4 Expert, DFI DK P35, EVGA 680i, DFI UT X48, just to name a few and this is the best MB yet. EVGA is now the best company to buy a MB from and never lets me down. Thank you

Pros: Runs stable compared to the older EVGA boards that I've had (the pleasure?) dealt with. Watch out, I had to manually clock the RAM as it would default to the lower settings.

Cons: Mine along with a friend's does a weird power up sequence. It turns on for a second or two then powers down for 2 seconds then powers back on a posts. Not really a con, I've never had a board that caused this before though.

Overall Review: It's a great board, but I've had better. Really nothing to note that would cause me to knock off an egg as it's bee solid and stable with the i7 930 + 12 GB G.Skill 1600 ripjaw ram. i7 930 corsair 850 PSU 12 gb GSkill ram ati 5870 OCZ Vertex2 60GB SSD 2xWD 1.5 TB black

Pros: Looks awesome! Runs great and is fully Linux compatible. It has an LED status indicator (shows temperature during system operation, shows status during boot). This is incredibly helpful if you ever need to diagnose a boot problem, it'll help you figure out what's wrong.

Cons: The "Warranty Void If Removed" sticker was right on top of one of the four CPU heatsink screw holes, I had to peel about a centimeter of it back to install the heatsink without ruining the label.

Overall Review: This is my first high-end system build, so I really worked with other high-end motherboards - however, from what I do know about computers in general, I couldn't have asked for anything better. Pros: Aestheics are very pleasing, several system/case fan connections, easy installation, thorough BIOS with many options.

Cons: BIOS updates are flaky and generally will only install from SATA devices. SATA III is useless for my Corsair C300 (256GB drive). Attempted for 24 hours to get my drive to work correctly using several different methods. Finally got it to install Windows 7 but then it provides me a nice BSOD after about 10 minutes of use with AHCI SATA III (only drive connected). I've contacted EVGA support and the technician actually tried telling me just to switch to SATA II instead of correcting the problem and supporting their product. I still trusted EVGA even after reading many reviews detailing how the Marvell SATA III controller was bad in several instances, but their boards were replaced. Not happy with EVGA support or this product, I will NOT purchase another board from them if they will not support their product and attempt to make it right.

Overall Review: While SATA III may be in "draft" I suggest you search for compatability issues for any drives before purchasing this MB. The Corsair C300 seems to be hit-or-miss on working with the SATA III connector, but mine was definitely a miss and EVGA support did not offer a replacement, only suggested I should use the SATA II if the III didn't work. Very unimpressed.

Pros: This board is great. Solid overclocking (intel i7 930 " 4.2Ghz easy!), atx, 3x SLI, good looking. lots of connections and decent onboard sata 3 raid controller.

Cons: Runs a little warm (65*C) on the NB, and mosfets.

Overall Review: you will defiantly want to install a 40mm chipset fan on the northbridge. it just screwsa into the NB unter the evga logo with some #3 machine screws.

Pros: Its fast quick and i love it. Bought a EVGA graphic card with it. Haven't any problem with things it was designed to do and it does them very well. Very good motherboard. One glaring unknown i did not know before i bought it.

Cons: MAJOR ISSUE.....the 2 PCI slots are not theu the bridge that would make them compatible with all PCI gear. My Osprey capture card will not work at all in these PCI slots. I have ask about this problem and apparently its this way on all EVGA motherboards. I ask about exchanging it and there are no EVGA Motherboards that offer fully functional PCI Slots. The USB on my board drops out on anything that demands speed not often but its still a problem having to unplug and replug to get it to recognize stuff.

Overall Review: I really like this company but after spending $500 on a capture card that will not work in my computer is disheartening. If there is an EVGA out there with real PCI slots ill buy it.

Pros: Decent board if it weren't for the memory issues. Newegg is awesome. All parts were shipped promptly and well packaged.

Cons: Have major memory issues. Board and OS (Win 7 64) recognized 6GB but only 3.99GB "Usable". I got it to show and use 6GB for a few days but after shutting my PC down for a day it came back up as only 3.99GB usable, very frustrating. I have over 2 pages of troubleshooting notes, complete PIA. I have spent about 20 hours troubleshooting, different RAM, BIOS settings, etc. It looks like there are a lot of other people with EVGA X58 boards having the same problem. Google evga 3.99 usable". Ram has been tested and is good, no bent pins on the proc, etc. Tried dozens + recommended BIOS settings to no avail.

Overall Review: I've built dozens of machines and I am used to a certain level of troubleshooting after a new build but this is ridiculous. I really wanted to like this board....... EVGA - FTW3 EVGA GTX 570 Intel i7 950 CORSAIR DOMINATOR 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800 CORSAIR HX Series CMPSU-650HX 650W Antec Nine Hundred Two V3

Pros: Very good and stable board for overclocking, especially with a i7 990x Gulftown @ 4.6Ghz. Good bandwidth and throughput for the north bridge. All in all, one of the best boards I have ever owned!!

Cons: The only 2 things I had an issue with were: a.) The Marvell Sata 3.0 controller needed a firmware update to recognized my Sata 3.0 drive. It also resolved an issue with the Marvell controller freezing during the post. b.) The supplied cables are awesome.....with the exception that NO Sata 3.0 cables are included. And before you jump to conclusions, I talked with a Senior Engineer at Western Digital, and eVGA, and both have told me that Sata 3.0 is brand new, and is still in Draft, and not an industry standard.....YET! So, you will need to purchase a separate Sata 3.0 cable from Newegg, in order to utilize the Sata 3.0 capability.

Overall Review: I purchased a Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme cooling heat sink/fan. The stuff they give you, and the thermal compound are more than I ever expected...didn't take much to place on the processor(very ultra thin layer!), and it idles at a astonishing 18 degrees Centigrade!! Running full bore, and overclocked to 4.6Ghz, this puppy still keeps the processor at a cool 40 deg. The heat sinks on the motherboard take a little advantage of this cooling power (just a little though). Overall, the experience with the board and the tech support at eVGA make me say, this is a must buy!!!
