How to install the gas lift cylinder?

Tip the chair to its side.
Use the mallet to tap and remove the the chair base away.
Use the pipe wrench to clamp tightly to the cylinder top. Twist and pull up to remove the cylinder.
Remove the new cylinder cap. Insert the cylinder bottom into the center of the chair base.
Carefully lift both the chair base and the chair cylinder into the chair mechanism. The parts will then fasten on their own.
