Features The USB 3.0 to slimeline SATA adapter cable is mainly used to connect laptop Slimline SATA CD-ROM & hard disk caddy.
This cable connects 7+6pin Slimline SATA optical drive to computer via USB port for easy data transfer.
For 2.5" laptop SATA optical drive, SATA CD/DVD-ROM drive, does NOT support 3.5" SATA device (USB port provide 5V power only)
Support USB 2.0 / 3.0, XP, Win7, Win8, MAC, desktop, notebook.
No external power required, No driver needed in XP/windows 7 and Mac OSX or more hight, Boot from external drive capability
Note: this optical drive cable can only be used in the laptop with Sata 6pin +7pin 13pins port, can't connect to standard SATA 7+15pin hard drive, desktop optical drive.
