- This cable is used for connecting SAS devices to SATA drives. The cable is designed to bridge the connection between a SAS host controller or backplane which uses an SFF-8087 connector and four individual SATA hard disk drives or solid-state drives that use standard SATA 7-pin female connectors.
- Impedance = 100 Ohms. Up to 6Gbps data rates per channel.
- This Mini SAS to SATA forward cable, 36pin SFF-8087 is host, connected to the motherboard or RAID Controller with SFF-8087 port. 4x7Pin SATA is the target, connect to backplane or SATA hard disk with SATA port.
- The flexible design of the Mini SAS to SATA breakout cable includes acetate cloth tape over slim ribbon cables for strain relief to protect cables without rigidity. A woven mesh sheath covers half of the cable for easy routing.
- P1 to P4 markers provide easy ID after installation; Low-profile SATA connectors have easy-grip treads with stainless steel latches to prevent accidental disconnection and reduce vibration disconnections.
