**Installation Tips**

1. Power off your MacBook Air completely and unplug the charger.

2. Remove the 10 Pentalobe screws on the bottom case (screwdriver included).

3. Gently lift the bottom case and locate the battery connector.

4. Use the spudger to carefully disconnect the battery cable from the logic board.

5. Remove the 6 Tri-wing screws securing the battery (screwdriver included).

6. Lift the old battery out and place the new battery in the same position.

7. Reconnect the battery cable, then replace the bottom case and screws.

8. Charge the battery to 100% before first use for optimal calibration.
**Note: ** If you see a Service Battery warning after installation, reset the SMC (System
Management Controller):
- For 2010-2011 models: Shut down, plug in MagSafe, press Shift+Control+Option+Power for 10 seconds, then release and turn on.
- For 2012-2017 models: Shut down, plug in MagSafe, press Control+Option+Shift for 7 seconds, then press Power for 7 seconds while holding the other keys, release all and turn on.
