SFF-8643 Connector: Internal HD Mini SAS connector on the host for connecting motherboard or RAID Controller. (Note: Before you buy this cable , please make sure the Mini SAS (SFF-8643) on your motherboard or RAID Controller. If the Mini SAS (SFF-8643) on your backplane, this cable will not work with them.)
SFF-8482 Connector: 29-pin SAS drive connector on the target end for connecting directly to the SAS drives. All SFF-8482 cables are wired the same way, no need to worry about directionality.
Widely applicable for enterprise storage, high-performance computing, networking, data centers, workstations, etc.
