The Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO is a Hi-Fi turntable engineered for accurate, consistent vinyl playback, combining an 8.6 carbon fiber tonearm, a factory-mounted Ortofon 2M Red cartridge, and precise electronic speed control. Its TPE-damped platter, decoupled motor suspension, and height-adjustable isolation feet work together to reduce vibration and improve speed stability.

The included Ortofon 2M Red cartridge combines superb trackability with accuracy and clarity. It arrives factory mounted and aligned on a low-mass 8.6 one-piece carbon fiber tonearm. A single run of high-quality copper wiring feeds gold-plated, chassis-mounted RCA jacks with a separate ground, and the supplied Connect It E cable is engineered to carry the delicate phono signal.

The 12, 1.7kg steel platter is lined with an anti-resonant TPE ring to add rotational mass and damp resonance, reducing wow & flutter and increasing stability over an expertly engineered main bearing and sub-platter. A sophisticated onboard power control circuit generates a precise signal for accurate, consistent speed regardless of power supply fluctuation.

A new motor suspension system decouples the motor from the plinth using a steel plate and TPE damping to minimize vibration transfer. TPE-damped, height-adjustable metal feet simplify leveling and help isolate the turntable.

The Debut Carbon EVO is configured for balanced operation. It provides a balanced RCA/ground phono output and can be run balanced with an RCA to mini XLR phono cable into a phono preamp with a mini XLR input (e.g.,Phono Box S3 B ). It ships with an RCA/ground to RCA/ground phono cable for maximum out-of-the-box compatibility. Balanced add-ons are sold separately.

The heavy, solid MDF plinth receives eight coats of paint and is offered in high-gloss black or white, or a real walnut veneer. A hinged adjustable dust cover is included, and manufacturing takes place in the European Union.

Performance can be elevated with Pro-Ject accessories and parts designed for the Debut platform.

Two belts are included. Use the flat belt on the top/smaller motor-pulley diameter for 33 & 45rpm. For 78rpm, install the round belt on the larger/bottom pulley with the differently shaped slot.

Note: The factory mounted stylus is not advisable for 78s; an alternate stylus designed for tracking 78rpm grooves is necessary.
