Based on the proven, 92mm size NH-U9 heatsink and equipped with two of Noctuas award-winning, PWM controlled NF-A9 92mm fans, it combines strong performance with excellent compatibility for 4U systems and other space-restricted applications. The NH-U9s direction of airflow is perpendicular to the long axis of the LGA4189 socket, so it is ideal for workstation builds where the top PCIe slot must not be blocked and this orientation is required for having the cooler exhausts towards the I/O panel. Topped off with the professional SecuFirm2 mounting system and pre-applied NT-H1 thermal compound, the NH-U9 DX-4189 forms a complete premium quality package for quietly cooling LGA4189 based Xeon workstations and servers.

At 70x56mm, the heatsinks copper contact surface is more than double the size of the standard model. Tailored to fit the enormous integrated heat-spreaders (IHS) of Intels LGA4189-based processors, this customised design allows for an optimal heat flow from the CPU over the base to the heatpipes and on to the cooling fins.
