Pros: after setting all timings, voltage, and memory bus frequency you can to achieve their manufactured speeds.

Cons: TCL: 5 TRCD: 5 TRP:5 TRAS: 15 CMD: T2 TRRD: 3 TRC: 24 TWR: 5 TWTR: 9 TREF: 7.8us now set your memory bus speed to 1066 mhz, and set volt from 1.9 to 2.2. but do not go over 2.2 or you will void your worrenty.

Overall Review: i just happend to notice one day my ram was running at half the speed it was suppose to so i went to thare forums spent all day digging and trouble shooting and finally came to this, these settings work for most but not all. so i hope newegg allows me to post this so not every one has to spend all day trying to achieve the speeds they bought but did not get.

Pros: Heat spreader, price, it runs at stated 1066 if you change the timings correctly. Does not run hot!!!

Overall Review: I see many peeps complaining about their bios showing 800MHz as far as speed goes. If you were one of these peeps then that means you are a noob and you should have done your research prior to purchasing. The reason it shows 800MHz in bios is due to the fact that OCZ has to make sure these modules are compatible with MOST motherboards, meaning all you have to do is go into the bios and change the freq. and timings to have them run at 1066MHz. Example : Go into bios, under the ram freq. change it from 800 to 1066MHz, then change the timings to 5-5-5-15 and the up the voltage to 2.1v and vualaaa you are running at 1066MHz. I didnt mean to offend anyone but most of the negative reviews are written by peeps that dont know what they are doing in the first place. And I dont think that you are entitled to give a bad review if you didnt know what you were doing at the time of installing the ram.

Pros: Product performs as advertised.

Cons: None at this time; however, I am very dissappointed in the Rebate procedure for OCZ.

Overall Review: These were the second set of Memory modules that I bought. I missed the opportunity on my first set for a rebate "because of the FINE print" however, on my second purchase; I made sure I followed the procedure to a "T". I have read numerous reviews claiming that OCZ doesn't honor their rebates, but I thought if you followed the procedure properly then they will honor it, WELL that is not the case. Got my refusal claim today in the mail, so if you want a decent product and don't care about the $30 rebate they advertise, then these modules would be a good purchase, BUT if you wish to receive a rebate then STAY clear....THEY WILL NOT HONOR their rebates. I would probably buy OCZ memory again because I like their performance, but I will not be fooled again by a fictitious rebate.

Pros: This is an update to a review I posted 10 days ago. Thanks to the watchful eye of the OCZ Support Techs, I was directed to a forum that talked a lot about the type of motherboard I had, and the most common problems with their RAM. I found out that I needed to adjust a couple settings in BIOS that had to do with Overclocking performance. Also, I was advised to set the voltage just slightly lower than what the sticker says on the chip because some boards (like mine) tend to allow more power run through the chips than what is stated in the settings - which in turn causes instability. I now have all 8GB's of RAM stable in my system and haven't had a BSOD since!! THANK YOU OCZ!!!

Cons: This is why I don't like saying bad stuff about anything. There aren't really any Cons on this RAM, and from my experience, I can say that if future users do have problems, it may just be a misunderstanding of settings. However; bad chips do exist, they are just rare, especially to receive so many like I thought I did.

Overall Review: My system uses an ASUS P5Q-E motherboard, and the settings I have in BIOS to get this RAM stable are as follows: DRAM Frequency = DDR2 1066Mhz DRAM Static Read Control = Disabled DRAM Read Training = Disabled Mem OC Charger = Enabled AI Clock Twister = Lighter Timings = 5-5-5-15 Voltage = 2.10 Everything else = Auto I've thrown several graphic intense games, CPU crunchers like Adobe After Effects CS4 and Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus, and several other senario's at this setup and can't get any errors to reproduce with these settings! Current setup: ASUS P5Q-E Motherboard Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83Ghz CPU 8GB OCZ Platinum 1066Mhz RAM (2 x 4GB sets) DuOrb CPU Cooler 2 x Radeon HD 4870 Graphics Cards (one's from Gigabyte and the other's from XFX) xCrossfiredx ASUS CD/DVD Combo Drive LG Blu-Ray/HD-DVD Drive 1,000W hecZephyr PSU Xclio A380BK ATX Full-size Tower and running on Windows 7 RC. Pros: Great ram, I let it test over night with Memtest 0 errors. Which is always a great thing. No BSOD either.

Cons: Nothing wrong with this memory.

Overall Review: Final comment: Make sure that you buy this memory when and only when you have taken into effect your motherboard, and more importantly your CPU speed. Remember your MB, CPU, and Ram all have ideal speeds in which they can run, and it's best if you take a moment and ask someone in a tech forum what ram speed would be best to work best with your other 2 components. Matching your ram only to your Motherboard is not they way to ensure ultimate performance, thus your CPU must be factored in. (tried to put this very plainly, if nothing else I hope it will get some of you to ask more questions about what you thought you knew.)

Pros: The memory is awesome, especially for the price.

Overall Review: OCZ is rapidly becoming my preferred brand for anything they make. Their customer service (Jaime especially) is the best I've seen and they do anything they can to help a build even if your question isn't specific to the product you purchased. Jaime told me exactly what I would need to do to ensure correct voltage and timing with my mobo (a M3N-HT) and has actually convinced me to go with their PSU and heatsink as well. Keep up the awesome work!

Pros: love the 2x2 gig easy to install runs at 1066 like it says it read 800 and 1.8v but that was my board and was easy to change in the bi to 2.1 and 1066

Pros: Look good. These are 800 MHz modules designed to work at extended performance, 1066 MHz at elevated voltage, 2.1 - 2.2 V (with EPP profile enabled in BIOS). Attractive and apparently high quality heat spreader finish.

Cons: See above. Run on a MSI motherboard with an AMD Phenom II 940 CPU. These are not true 1066 (2 x 533 MHz) modules. I believe that such true 1066 MHz chips do exist (eg G.Skill) When set manually in the BIOS to 5-5-5-18, at 2.2 V or EPP enabled, they work so, so. Windows XP frequent crashes with BSOD's "IRQL not equal to"... after approx 2 months in service with 4 stick (4 x 2 GB)... 2 found good. Linux gets stuck. Two were found bad. Serious corruptions of HDD. Needed to restore from backup. The bad ones get hot to the touch. The good ones warm to the touch in operation. At 1066 MHz 2.2 V and recommended timing settings even the good sticks fail the memtest86 specifically at test #5 and above... abundant errors. At 800 MHz, CMD 1T and 1.8 V, the two good sticks run consistently and error free under both Memtest86 and Windows memtest. It appears that 2 sticks at 800 MHz CMD 1T run Windows and applications faster than at 1066 MHz CMD 2T. Decided to RMA back to OCZ. Thinking G. SKIL

Overall Review: OCZ customer's service very kind and responsive. Whatever I tried, it does not run error free, except at 800 MHz. I believe I have bad luck with the RAM though OCZ products seem to have a good reputation. DDR2 price for Plats slightly higher than competitors.
