Overall Review: I just had the worst experience ever with a budget Trendnet TEW-692GR that I purchased during Newegg's huge sale last week. The router is essentially a paperweight waiting to be RMAed. Decided to stop into Micro Center and took a chance on Netis since I knew I would have an easy return. I am very, very impressed so far.

Pros: Excellent wired throughput, fast wireless connections, relatively simple GUI.

Cons: Erratic wireless with multiple devices, Apple and Android. Drops connection constantly on both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. Super annoying and problematic. It's been getting more frequent in under a month of ownership.

Overall Review: Would not recommend to anyone.

Pros: Strong signal. I have this on the second floor of a 3000+ square foot home and have strong signals all corners of the basement in 2.4GHz bandwidth and a average signal in 5GHz.. Been running flawlessly for 5 months now. No dropped connections as of yet.

Cons: Setup was not per the paper work. Had to go online to find out how to get to the GUI.

Pros: Great Price! Easy to use. Especially once flashed with newest firmware from the manufacturers site I saw an article about possible backdoor on Netis routers This is not the case with this model and latest firmware (That post was closed so could not post to the old Trend Labs thread to update there,) I did a full TCP port scan, and scanned the one that previously was a backdoor, all is well with this router. Amazing 2.4g coverage/signal strength. Good throughput and coverage on 5g band. Could buy 5 of these for less than the price of one of latest 3200 ac router. If covering a large area with multiple walls an extra access point works best for any 5g device. Coverage is great on both bands. I get 73Mbps in my backyard on the 2.4g N band. (The single router is place at the front inside of my house). I will be installing the other at the back wall of my house to get 5g in my backyard. I am getting over 800Mbps through 1 wall at 15 feet. and 433Mbs anywhere in my 1200 sq. ft. home on the ac band.

Cons: Got an RMA easy enough from Newegg, but I had to pay the shipping. Not appreciated by me, but shipping to me was free so its fair and pretty standard. I gave it a 5 because I think the bad one was an exception/fluke. Have had great luck with Newegg and their merchandise I have received over the years is top notch.

Overall Review: Will update this with my experience over time if I am allowed to by Newegg, once I receive my replacement, and have more time under my belt on these devices. I would rather pay to return the unusual problem item, than pay for all shipping. Keep up the good work Newegg. IMMEDIATELY RECOMMEND YOU FLASH FIRMWARE WITH LATEST VERSION FROM NETIS!

Cons: -Changes did not always persist after router reboot -Some clumsiness w/ manually assigning DHCP info -Caused my Android phone to reboot randomly when connected to 5Ghz band -Shipped w/ defective AC adapter (see below)

Overall Review: Newegg was great w/ their RMA & customer service processes. Newegg gets 5 eggs! Netis, not so much. Plugged the router in and thought it was DOA, but using the adapter from my old router it fired up right away and worked without a hitch. Contacted Newegg to ask if they could replace the adapter or should I go through Netis? Newegg says go through Netis first, & if that doesn't work to contact Newegg again. That's what I expected; it's not Newegg's fault the adapter was defective, and I told them didn't want to send the whole thing back just because of the adapter. I email Netis Feb 16 and get an automated reply stating that it is Chinese New Year and no one will be able to assist until Feb 27. Today I get a response saying "sorry, we can't do anything to help you, contact the retailer." Maybe I'm a jerk, but that rubbed me the wrong way. I get that things happen and a defective unit gets sent out from time to time. A new AC adapter would have made me happy and I would have gladly given the company and the product 4 eggs. Instead, I'm giving the company 0 eggs for really astoundingly lazy customer service, and will be avoiding their products in the future. The router itself rates 4 eggs.

Pros: Excellent range, speed, and price. I highly suggest isolating the AC signal to 5 Ghz and the others to 2.4 Ghz. For my setup this seemed to help the range on AC.

Cons: I'm taking an egg away because it doesn't play nice with satellite internet. Being that a satellite broadband ping can take from 800-1000 milliseconds, the router detects this as an unstable connection and will attempt to reset the session (an otherwise great feature). To get around it, I used an old router that lacks any connectivity stabilization features as a physical switch (disable the wireless on the old router), and then daisy chained the NetisAC1200 to it for the wireless LAN connection. This satisfied the NetisAAC1200's built in stability feature while allowing for the extremely long ping times that are part and parcel to satellite internet.

Overall Review: If you live in the sticks like me and have a satellite connection, definitely buy this product but *don't throw away your old router*...you'll need it to trick the stabilization feature into thinking it's on a cable connection.

Pros: 5G network uses the new 802.11ac and it is very fast. Four antennas gives good coverage. Reliable and never drops internet connection

Overall Review: Setup is very easy. Just connect the router to the modem and power it up. Then, connect to the Netis Wireless network. The default pasword is password. Then, type http://netis.cc/ from your browser to launch the configuration web interface. Besides, this is the third router I am trying. First, tried an inexpensive TP link router, then the best rated Asus router. Asus was very good, except, it was dropping internet connection few times a day. This router is as good or even better than the Asus and it didn't drop internet connection

Pros: Does everything with easy setup. Nice range with antennas, picks up WiFi signals from other router and extends with ease. Wps capable. Fully functional with the hassles.

Cons: It won't fetch me the paper or make me coffee!
