Pros: * I bought this GPU for a small discount on 2019 Black Friday. Nvidia released this GPU in 2019 November. According to various benchmarks on the Internet, the GTX 1660 Super is almost exactly as good as the GTX 1660 Ti when it comes to running actual games (NOT test programs or programs designed purely for benchmarks), photo-editing software, and video-editing software. For real-world applications, both the GTX 1660 Super & GTX 1660 Ti are very similar in performance to the GTX 1070 (which debuted in 2016 June), but the GTX 1660 Super/Ti consume less energy and generate less heat, because they use a smaller and more efficient 12-nm transistor, while the GTX 1070 uses a 16-nm transistor. * According to various Internet reviews, the GTX 1660 Super is a good value right now, and, IMO, it currently offers the BEST bang-for-the-buck value for any GPU by any brand. This GPU excels at 1080p resolution with medium to high to very high graphics-setting at ~60 to ~240 fps with modern games (Darks Souls 3, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Dying Light, Borderlands 3, etc).
Cons: * Sure the GTX 1660 Super lacks ray-tracing and DLSS, but those features are cutting-edge, expensive, and not fully exploited. I think ray-tracing (& possibly DLSS) will become the affordable norm by the year ~2022.
Overall Review: * Anyhow, I've been using the GTX 1660 Super for ~2 months now, and it has not disappointed. I had some minor software problems early on due to troublesome motherboard and RAM, but Nvidia's tech support (phone, email, and live Internet chat) was fabulous and easily solved my problems. After that, the GPU has been running flawlessly.
