Being 40% smaller and 50% lighter than a full-sized graphics card, this MSI GeForce GTX 1070 AERO ITX 8G OC model is great for small form factor PCs and ultra compact systems. It is factory overclocked to 1,721MHz Boost / 1,531MHz Base frequency (1,683MHz / 1,506MHz for the reference card) for more graphics power out of the box. A custom-engineered cooling fan delivers efficient yet quiet cooling, along with semi-passive design that stops fan-spinning at low load or idle status. The Military Class 4 components and a powerful yet quiet cooling fan ensure optimized durability and stability you can count on in intense gaming.
The power of a full size graphics card fit into an incredibly small package. MSI AERO ITX graphics cards are perfect for small form factor systems and HTPC’s as they only take up a fraction of the space of a full-size graphics card. This means they will fit into virtually any system and ensure a smooth gaming experience.

The saying “good things come in small packages” is certainly true for AERO ITX cards. Thanks to its small form factor it will fit into virtually any case. Its compact size also means that its weight is dramatically less than that of a full-size graphics card.

AERO ITX cards are equipped with the award-winning MSI TORX fan. Thanks to the exclusive blade design, MSI TORX fans provide strong cooling performance while remaining incredibly silent.

Maximizes the downward pressure to thrust airflow directly to the heatsink beneath.

Provides steady airflow to the heatsink beneath.
ZeroFrozr technology was first introduced by MSI back in 2008. ZeroFrozr technology eliminates fan noise in low-load situations by stopping the fans when they are not needed, literally bringing noise down to 0dB.

During intense gaming or benchmarking.

Becomes completely silent during idle, multimedia or light gaming.

Underneath the AERO ITX shroud is an incredibly compact heatsink comprised of 8mm copper super pipes and countless aluminum fins. Airflow Control deflects the airflow to where it’s most needed to keep the GPU cool during demanding gaming sessions.

One of the deciding factors in performance is the quality of the components used. That's why MSI only uses MIL-STD-810G certified components for AERO ITX cards. These components have proven durable enough to withstand the torturous circumstances of extreme gaming and overclocking during extended usage.
Enjoy the smoothest, fastest and most exciting gaming experience ever by eliminating screen tearing, display shutter and input lag.
Ultra-high resolution (UHD) delivers 4x the resolution of 1080p content, enabling much sharper and crisper images with intricate details during gaming.

Pros: Best GPU I've ever owned! Huge upgrade from my previous GTX 970 for 1440p gaming on my Dell 27" G-Sync monitor. I was able to get almost 60fps in most of my games (Pcars, Dirt series, Grid series, ETS2 & ATS), but it was right on the verge of being choppy or slow, and was in many cases with ultra settings. This card allowed me to push ultra settings at 1440p at a solid 90fps or more with higher levels of AA. This card usually boosts around 1,860mhz for the most part, and once in a while hits 1,911mhz in older games, and that's without overclocking! It will keep the higher speeds under 60c, but drop to 1,860 up to the low 70's. It's amazing how quiet and efficient the fan and heatsink are on this thing. I can't hear the fan until it hits about 70% speed, and at 100% is about as loud as my old EVGA GTX 970 SSC was at 60% fan speed. Temps usually stay in the upper 60's, and in higher fps or newer games will get in to the low 70's. I don't think I've ever seen it over 73c in my U2 case where my old Gigabyte GTX 970 would regularly throttle at over 80c! The zero rpm fan mode is nice, keeps the fan off until it goes over 50c. With my system on idle and a large 140mm fan blowing across the gpu and mobo, it keeps this card in the mid 40's. I have not overclocked this card, nor do I see a need to with the performance I'm getting out of this tiny card, amazing! Comes with 8gb of gddr5, but haven't used even half that yet. I'm sure future games with better HD textures will start using up some of that though.
Cons: Not one thing! Except maybe wish the MSI logo and white streaks lit up white, that'd be pretty epic. :)
Overall Review: I built a true mini itx machine a couple years ago with the Gigabyte TX 970. It was a huge step up from my previous HD 7870XT, but it got pretty loud and hot and throttled quite a bit in my U2 case. I ended up selling it and got an EVGA GTX 970 SSC, which required a larger case, but was much quieter, cooler, and ran more consistently. Fast forward to today and the GTX 1070 is out with 980ti-class performance but in the same form factor. I wanted to stay with a true Mini-ITX format machine, which would've led me to the Gigabyte version, however I was hesitant to get it because the 970 version I had was loud and hot. When I saw MSI was releasing this card, I patiently waited for it to come available and pounced on it when it showed up online. So glad I did! The larger fan and quality heatsink are excellent and lend to a very quiet, compact system. I was able to reuse my Rosewill U2 case and psu, then got a new Kaby lake i5, Asrock mobo, and Adata nvme m.2 256gb ssd. This combo allowed me to create a super fast gaming machine that was very compact, quiet, and sleek without the extra cables for sata devices. I have white led fans to light up the inside, which is a black theme with white accents on everything. System looks great thru the window! I would highly recommend this card to anyone looking for a true Mini-ITX system. It's super quiet, super cool, and super fast in a super tiny package. By far the best card I've ever owned! You get the best of both worlds in performance and size, no trade-off's here!
