Our Suspension Boom Scissor Stand is made of steel and provides a sturdy platform to hold microphones in place for podcasting, broadcasting, recording, or streaming. The arm is strong enough to support 2 lbs. of weight, with rugged construction; meaning it won't transfer vibrations to the microphone, causing audio noise. The microphone arm was designed to provide users with as much flexibility as possible. The metal c-clamp is large enough to fit onto surfaces up to 1.9 in thick, and the pressure can be adjusted quickly and easily using the metal spindle.
The clamp is padded to prevent damage to the surface it's attached to as well. The arm can extend up to 33in. At the end of the mic arm is a nut with 3/8inx16 threading, with a 3/8in to 5/8in adapter included, so a wide range of microphone clips and shock mounts can be used. Tension adjustments are located at all pivot points. This ensures that your boom stand stays in any position you set it to, allowing you the freedom and comfort to move around while keeping the mic in front of you.
