Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, DVD - OEM

Pros: just finished installing and updating this. didn't start the upgrade in desktop, needed to boot off cd-rom so I could fix my partition and format it to full. best thing about win 10 is that is FASTER. just seems to use your computer's hardware more efficiently. graphic redrawing is faster a lot of the apps and stuff have no use in desktop and are geared for tablets. bottom line: slightly smarter and more efficient under the hood, but probably not worth the $100 I paid CLEAN INSTALL is the key. search area is next to the start key which is KEY.

Cons: not much better than win 8.1 or win 7 windows 7 stays the pound per pound leader or all windows versions

Overall Review: $49 a fairer price, but with so much piracy legit users pay double. would stay with win 7 if the graphic quality was the same, but it has improved with win 8 and now win 10

Overall Review: If you are having trouble finding the product key, it is on the little sticker on disk sleeve, under the scratch-off spot with "Microsoft" on it, in tiny letters. I'm a first-time builder and couldn't for the life of me find this thing - and no one could tell me where to find it, not Newegg or even Microsoft. However, having said that, Newegg went the extra mile to try to help me, I have to give them a triple thumbs up for their phone service! The five stars here is for Newegg service.

Cons: It looks like it DOES NOT come with a code (but it does) The code is under a 'scratch off' sticker. Be VERY careful - scratch LIGHTLY The code is darn near MICROSCOPIC!!! Much less than the size of a postage stamp. Stinks if you are over 50.

Overall Review: have not received my DVD windows 10 yet but i noticed a lot of people are buying new optical drives or DVD drives just for install. this may save you time and money! just go to windows website and download the OS there and use your CD key from the DVD!! thank you i hope this helps. also you can transfer all the windows 10 files to a USB and boot it that way.

Pros: - It works - It plays games - It really does have a key to activate (need to scratch it like a lotto ticket to show)

Cons: - M$ should pay users of this OS for all the advertisements in the start menu. - I hate the fast boot option in this OS. It does not actually turn your computer off the whole way, so laptop users beware (it will drain your battery). If you have LEDs on your cards in the pc they will stay on, same with keyboards, mice, and headsets. You can disable this option in the power options, but you will need to have admin rights to unlock it.

Overall Review: - Overall it is great so 5 eggs it is. Anything to bypass 8......

Pros: Purchased to re-condition HP RP-5800. Downloaded Windows 10 iso to USB drive using MediaCreation tool. Booted USB drive and installed Win10. Entered Windows 10 OEM authentication key per install prompt; key authenticated with Microsoft properly.

Cons: None, YET!

Overall Review: Did not use included CD. Used Media Creation Tool and latest Win10 ISO via USB DRIVE. The authentication key Included DID register with Microsoft.

Pros: * Install was easy as usual. * Windows 10 isn't bad once you disable some of the bloat.

Cons: * Forced updates that do things like put the windows store back on the taskbar... * ...and probably install new resource-slurping services. * Microsoft tries to make it difficult to turn off some of their bloatware.

Overall Review: Yes, modern Windows can be annoying but it's still a good platform for gaming and productivity so in the final analysis I'm pretty happy. I'm just hoping future updates don't ruin it (and as we all know there is no way to turn off feature updates.....).
