• Business users who rely on Windows x86 applications and want a 15-inch touchscreen laptop with Windows 11 Pro; reviewers found the Intel version avoids the app-compatibility tradeoffs associated with the Snapdragon model.
• Mobile knowledge workers who move between meetings and workspaces and want a large screen: Microsoft positions this model for business productivity, and Notebookcheck measured about 17 hours 41 minutes in its Wi-Fi browsing test on a higher-memory Intel configuration.
• Office and collaboration users who want a built-in touchscreen, webcam, and business-oriented Windows setup for documents, browsing, and video meetings; Microsoft describes the Intel Surface Laptop as designed for collaboration and productivity.
• Users who want an everyday laptop that stays quiet during typical office tasks but can handle occasional heavier workloads; Notebookcheck found it quiet in everyday use, with more audible fan noise under high load.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• For a workday of browser research, Office documents, email, and several apps open at once, it should handle routine business multitasking smoothly; reviews of the Intel 15-inch model describe responsive everyday performance.
• For video meetings between home, office, and travel, the built-in camera and Windows 11 Pro support a straightforward laptop-based setup; testing of the 15-inch Intel version included video calls alongside office work and web browsing.
• For working away from an outlet, such as moving between meetings or spending the day on campus, it can cover a substantial stretch of normal use: CHIP measured 13 hours 35 minutes in a mixed office, web-browsing, and video-call test on a 15-inch Core Ultra 7 266V model.
• For organizations that rely on established Windows software, the Intel configuration is a practical fit when application compatibility matters; Notebookcheck notes better software compatibility than the Snapdragon version.
• For occasional Copilot+ PC tasks alongside normal work, such as using supported on-device AI features, its NPU can run compatible experiences; the available features depend on Windows software and app support.
