Overall Review: I'm not sure what the other person is complaining about, it can't hold rice for more than 12 hours? Why would you even need to hold rice that long in the first place? Shrug. I would recommend it and I enjoy it very much, I use it daily.

Pros: The rice cooker cooks the rice properly. I did not experience any undercooking or over cooking. It does the job in that aspect.

Cons: The build quality of the cooker is not very high, but I guess that is why it is so cheap. My unit had a bent top latch which would not allow the top to close properly. I had to use a screw driver to bend the metal latch in a way that enabled me to lock the top before cooking. It has since been locking properly.

Overall Review: I only gave this product 3 eggs due to the shoddy construction. It does however perform its primary function as a rice cooker properly. Make sure you understand that this is the 5 cup model and is a little on the small size. I realized this after I purchased it.

Pros: The cooker is generally what you would expect. It cooks rice decently for the price point.

Cons: The build quality is lacking. The switch got stuck in the 'cook' position yesterday and fried both the lights and the cook element. I now own a glorified warmer. :(

Overall Review: Be sure to clean out the steam vent catch just inferior to the hinge as well as the removable top plate (inside). I'm guessing that some people neglect those.

Overall Review: Measuring might be confusing unless you decode the Chinglish instructions. What you do is, put for example two (included) scoops of dry rice on the pot, THEN fill with water to the 2 CUPS line. Put the pot in the cooker, push the button to Cook, drops automatically to Warm when it's done, come back in 20-30 minutes to great rice.

Cons: The pan or pot part of the rice cooker is coated with Teflon. It scratched the third time I used it. It is now totally useless.

Overall Review: Item purchased as a gift and was not attempted to use until 45 days after purchase. Product would not go into "cook" mode and only stayed in "warm" mode. Maxi-matic refused to send pre-paid shipping to return defective unit. Shipping costs over 50% of original purchase price. Not worth the hassle. Stay away from Maxi-matic products.
