Pros: NONE, still trying to get it set up.
Edit update- Got it set up and now I do like it. If you want the router password get out a magnifying glass and read all the small print, it's at the end of it all. Not the same as the wifi password, of course. Or set up an account with Linksys , but wait, I can't get email because my router isn't set up so I can't confirm with the email I am supposed to receive, bugger. A little more thought on the set up from Linksys would be nice.
Cons: Absolutely infuriating trying to get it to work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1 hour down and I am giving up for the night, back to the 10-year-old router that I can get to work. Whoever designed the setup routine should be hung until dead. Beware the warnings that this thing is very difficult to set up, and takes around 3 hours of "wasting your time", can't write the correct words here, around if you know what your doing!!!!!
Edit update- Well it took about 3 hours total but all is well.
Overall Review: Netgear? TP-Link? This is replacing my trusty old WRT54GL that is just a bit too slow, but dead reliable!
Pros: -Very easy setup.
-A good amount of options that most people won't need but it's there.
-Actually has VLANs which is interesting for a consumer router.
-Also has Link Aggregation if a consumer can have a device going as high as 2 Gbps.
Cons: -Parental control seems to only have total block or blacklist but no whitelist unlike some other consumers brands.
Overall Review: -Interesting look, discrete black but with those 4 big antennas.
-So far so good, I hope it can last as long as my old Linksys router it replaced but still worked after about 10 years.
Pros: good range handles multiple devices
Cons: parental control software is horrible almost non functional and Linksys support doesn't care
Overall Review: no kids to be concerned with and don't need limiting then ok router for the money
Pros: Wifi is steady, reliable and quick.
Cons: I wanted to use this as an access point, the only real way is to set it as a bridge, where you lose all features like QoS and Parental Controls.
Looks cute in the photo, is actually quite large and chunky.
Pros: Had this for a month or 2 now. Super fast and very stable out of the box. Easy to setup. The phone app is useful to adjust traffic and such. I get 5 bars of signal strength anywhere in the house and in the yard. Currently 18 devices connected at once and no buffering or lag. No lag in gaming either. What sold me on this model was the simultaneous bidirectional wireless traffic and it's the latest AC wireless standard. Also has a quad core processor with 3 sub processors.
Overall Review: I recommend this.
