OK-But not as advertised 3/15/2015 9:51:07 AM

Pros: Small, quiet, easily upgradeable, inexpensive.

Cons: Not the fastest, and in this case, shipped with the wrong OS, which fouled up my plans.

Overall Review: I periodically buy SFF desktop computers like this for varios uses: general household and business computing, lightweight graphics design, etc. after one of this general type (another Lenovo refurb) finally went toes-up after a decade or so, i bought this to replace it. The HDD, graphics, memory etc, are all pretty easily upgradeable on products of this general type. I was disappointed that it came with a 32 bit OS and not a 64 bit, as it limits the amount of usable memory. I had to get another "no OS" machine and do upgrades on it to accomplish the same functionality that I had intended for this machine. Still, a cheap way to get a decent working machine that you can upgrade incrementally. The machine was cheap enough to make it not worthwhile to return and, in my case, time was a factor, so, OK.

Description is always wrong 1/21/2015 2:01:06 PM

Pros: Usually in pretty good shape. Slightly banged up but not bad. They blow the dust out well. OS Installed and ready to finish. Hard to beat a refurb price point.

Cons: They describe these refurbs RAM, HD Size, 32 or 64 bit, etc They simply never have what they say in the description. These last four all have 32 bit Win7. Supposed to be 64. All had 250 gig drives. Supposed to be 160 gig. They count on the hassle of shipping back to outweigh exercising the warranty I imagine.

Overall Review: Be nice of you got what was described

Good computer, mediocre refurbishing 9/20/2014 8:51:36 PM

Pros: This is a good price for a Core 2 Duo computer with 4GB RAM, and refurbished Lenovo desktops bring a premium. This one also actually has Windows 7 Professional, while most of the refurbs have Hope Premium. Lenovos seem to have a much lower failure rate than most other manufacturers.

Cons: The keyboard and mouse sent by the refurbisher are dirt cheap. The keyboard doesn't even wake up from sleep - you have to unplug it and plug it back in. I'll get with the provider to see of they'll replace it.

They put a warranty registration icon on the desktop (which goes to a website), but they did not install the Lenovo software or drivers, only the generic Microsoft drivers.

They put the replacement COA sticker over top of the old one, which means it will fall off sooner than it should. The case was rather scratched up, two of the rubber feet were missing and one was about to fall off - which means I had to remove all of them so it wouldn't rock, and (as I expected) the Vista sticker was still on the front. And the inside was dusty, which I think should have at least been blown out good.

Overall Review: Allow an extra $10 to get a not-quite-so-cheap keyboard. The mouse has a cheap feel to it, but at least it works. There are no PS/2 ports, so you can't reuse your antique-but-reliable ones.
