Pros: works as intended upgrading a fairly new HP DV7 with AMD A8-4500M, 750GB SataII HDD, and 6GB memory. Now it has 16GB ram and a 120GB OCZ SS on the way for a huge performance boost.
Cons: None that i can think of other then it didn't make me breakfast the next morning.
Overall Review: The memory ironically was very very shiny with gold, more so then i had thought ram could be lol.
Overall Review: I almost passed this memory up because I could't find anywhere an explicit statement of compatibility with the mid-2011 iMac and/or the mid-2011 Mac Mini but I decided to get it based on specs (and price - it is cheaper than comparable Crucial sticks and the stuff at Kahlon)
I wanted to max out my Macs and I got 32Gb for the iMac and 16Gb for the Mini. It works like a charm on both machines with the caveat that in the iMac it runs at 1333Mhz but in the Mini it runs at the full 1600 Mhz because the iMac board only supports mem bus speeds of up to 1333Mhz. It is a bit overkill in the iMac but this was actually cheaper than 1333Mhz memory from Crucial, with no downside. Bottom line? I ended up with 2 maxed out Macs for a little over 2 hundred bucks for 3 16Gb kits - the biggest bang for the buck since I can remember.
Pros: I have purchased several. No issue at al.
Pros: Always reliable Kingston, what more to say!
Pros: Delivery was quick
Returning them was easy and free
The seller was very courteous and quick to refund my money
Cons: Ordered 2 x 8 gb RAM and the sent mismatched spec sticks so the laptop would not boot. Read reviews after I found out and many had DOA RAM as well. Returned them and ordered exact same RAM directly from Kingston. They arrived with matching spec numbering. Installed and booted up no issues. Kingston was my Dell OEM RAM and never had an issue. Inexpensive and work.
Overall Review: Give the RAM 5 stars
Give the seller a 3 star as they have a lot of negatives reviews that matched my situaiton so they are not fixing their problems. They are nice, but that doesn't fix what they need to fix. I'll never purchase from them again.
Pros: Restored reasonable performance to an old (mid 2012) MacBook Pro by boosting RAM from 4GB to 16GB, and helped me avoid having to buy yet another computer. Apple's specs say the max is 8GB, but it turns out that it works fine with 16.
Cons: Not a knock on this product at all, but the MacBook has really tight clearances for getting the modules in and out. The process definitely involves some uneasy feelings, but the results are worth it.
Overall Review: Would recommend if you have an older MacBook or similar product that uses these modules and have problems with the performance of the system -- particularly symptoms of low memory, such as sluggish response when multiple applications are active.
Pros: Plugged the modules into my hand-me-down Dell 3521 Laptop, turned it on, and the system immediately recognize the full 16 GB. No issues so far. The system is working noticeably faster, with far fewer hesitations. When I swap out the mechanical hard drive for the SSD drive, I'm sure the laptop will be lightening fast compared to it's prior speed.
Overall Review: Great way to upgrade a "free" laptop and make it run much faster. Saved a bundle investing in memory instead of a new laptop
Pros: I want to thank Kingston for explaining on their website that you can only use 16GB of memory DDR3 1600 if you have a DUAL core processor. In order to use 32GB of DDR3 1333 you need a QUAD core processor. (I don't know why u use DDR3 1600 with 16GB and DDR3 1333 with 32GB of ram but that is what they recommended). I was leaning toward 16GB as I'm not a gamer, designer or an engineer. But I wouldn't have benefited from the 32GB anyway so it would have been a waste of money. I installed the memory easily and the system is now using 17% of memory rather than 50% when I had 4GB DDR3 1600 installed. It is noticeably faster when opening files and loading web pages. I would recommend going to Kingston web site and entering your specific computer info so you can find out how much memory u can actually install and take advantage of. I am very pleased thus far with the product and highly recommend it.
