Intel Pentium G4400 Skylake Desktop Processor
Unleash maximum performance from your desktop PC with the powerful Intel Pentium G4400 Skylake desktop processor. It delivers breakthroughs in performance and power efficiency over previous generation microarchitectures, resulting in great system performance and responsiveness, high performance graphics, strong security, and long-lasting battery life.
The Intel Pentium G4400 Skylake dual-core processor is built on Intel’s 14 nm manufacturing process, and features a dedicated 2 x 256 KB L2 cache. It runs at a stock speed of 3.3 GHz, delivering no-holds-barred processing capabilities. You can open and run multi-threaded applications with noticeably fast speed. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 510 provides high definition graphics and a high-quality video playback experience to answer all your entertainment needs. It supports 4K, 3D, and even a three-monitor setup.
The Intel Pentium G4400 Skylake processor employs advanced Intel data protection technology and Intel identity protection technology to ensure optimal data security. Intel AES New Instructions (Intel AES-NI), a set of instructions, enable fast and secure data encryption and decryption. Intel Secure Key consists of a digital random number generator that creates truly random numbers to strengthen encryption algorithms. Intel Software Guard Extensions (Intel SGX) provide applications the ability to create hardware enforced trusted execution protection for their applications’ sensitive routines and data. Execute Disable Bit, a hardware-based security feature, can reduce exposure to viruses and malicious-code attacks and prevent harmful software from executing and propagating on the server or network.
Pros: -Excellent Dual Core -Great performance for its price -Hyperthreading!
Cons: -Well its a dual core is the really only draw back, but you probably know that buying it right? -Its on the lower end so its cache its lower :/
Overall Review: I purchased 3 of these for some budget systems with the idea of both using the dual core and its integrated chip for casual gaming. Keep in mind these are for 3 systems for my own children so they don't need 60+fps at 4k, they are gonna have to earn that later in life. Can play HotS (medium settings for looks and fps~40 // Low gets you 60fps), Plays 2D games no problem (terraria, fallout, starbound, PvZ, Diablo 2), games like LoL, Overwatch, TF2, Diablo 3, Hearthstone, all play ~40fps on medium settings like HotS. What makes it a great CPU along with the 4560 or 4620 is if you pair these with anything upwards of a Geforce 450 the performance goes way up on any and all games. Example 450 GTS lets these CPU's (4560-4600-4620 I have all 3) play the above mentioned games on pretty much high settings. (all at 720p or 1080p with above 40fps in either case). If you were to pair these with a 1050 and given its cheap price , games like Fallout 4, Battlefield 1, and DOOM all become playable at an extreme budget level cost. System wise, Windows 10 plays very nice with the CPU. Super fast and snappy, web browsing is of course fast, the MAJOR downside you will see with these CPU's is due to it being dual core it will not have the multitasking like a 4/6/8 core CPU can get you. To be honest though, I have seen one of my children in particular have HotS, PvZ, and terraria all going at once and just tabbing between them when he wanted to play them, no issues what so ever all things considering.
