Overall Review: I have gone back and forth between AMD and Intel for the past few years. My CPU prior to this was an FX-8120 which was good but nothing to brag about. Needless to say it was OK but being that this particular RIG is in my living room as a HTPC/gaming machine that stays on a majority of the day, I wanted something that was not only more power efficient but also ran a lot cooler and faster. I did a bit of research both here on Newegg and also talked with some friends and found that this i5-3470S was my remedy. This CPU not only blew away my previous FX-8120 in performance but it did so by drawing a lot less power and running a lot cooler. On idle I see an average temps in the low 30's and while gaming it jumps into the low-mid 50's. No it isn't the K version but that was a tradeoff I was happy to accept since it has up to 3.6GHz turbo boost anyway which for my particular needs is more than plenty. Paired with my new MSi GTX 660 and 8GB of Kingston HyperX 1600 RAM I can play any game on my Samsung 51" Plasma @ 1080p on a combination of High-Ultra settings with ease. I can't say enough about how happy I am with this purchase and you will be also. Pros: Low power consumption. Good performance. Integrated video (although not as fast as K-series CPUS). Great for a HTPC.

Cons: Expensive. Should cost less than the K-series (overclocking) CPUs. Integrated video slower than K-series chips.

Overall Review: I have this in my Intel DQ77KB mini-itx motherboard, which only supports 65w processors. It's my home server with ESXi running Pfsense and Win8Pro (for media center recording). Works like a champ, and all while sipping power (~avg 33 watts idle, 45 watts avg. load). A little pricey, but still good.

Pros: It's fast enough to get my tasks done efficiently. Drains less power than my old processor. CPU stays under 45 Celsius on max speed with stock fan (No Overclock).

Cons: Slow CPU reaction getting to 100% CPU, but that's because I decided to configure the system for power saving. Eventually, CPU will increase to max speed (100%)after 5 seconds when processing heavy load.

Overall Review: Upgraded from Intel Core i5-650. Big difference in speed, almost twice as fast.

Pros: Idles at 1600 MHz, working it runs as high as 3200 MHz, Temps are good. It works.

Cons: not really a con. CPU tracking went dark. contacted the seller, E.O.L. Tech and they FedEx another, got in 2 days. same day but later the 1st one arrived by USPS. they supplied a shipping label for the USPS CPU as I already installed the FedEx one. Point is, Excellent customer service.

Overall Review: Wholeheartedly Recommend.

Pros: quad core and up to 3.6 GHz. A little more if you want to mess with the base clock a little. If purchased for a gaming computer will give you virtually the same performance in games as its more expensive -k counterparts. So if saving a few bucks is important, this processor is worth considering

Cons: Overclocking is very limited (obviously). Also, it is on the older 1155 socket so the utility of this chip to most people is reducing.

Overall Review: A buddy bought this CPU for his new gaming computer from a brick and mortar retailer. Another buddy had sold him a Z-77 motherboard he had used for crypto-currency mining with a cerelon. Went to the store to buy a i5-3570k, but they were out and my friend did not want to spend the extra $80 on an i7-3770k, but they did have a few of these i5-3470s for $150 each. At $150, this a killer deal for a gaming CPU. Its gaming performance is probably about 95% of what a i5-4670k will do (based on what Tomshardware says for similar comparisons). BOTTOM LINE: If you are looking to shave a few bucks off your build by going with a older platform, but still want high end gaming and media consumption performance, this processor is a good deal. Especially if you can find it on clearance for $150 like I did.

Pros: The reigning gaming CPU champion

Cons: Tougher to cool and OC than Sandy Bridge

Pros: Good choice for my home ESXi server. Very good performance and all the virtualization technologies I was looking for. The price point is just right.

Overall Review: I'm using this in a Shuttle XH61V that has a heat pipe cooling system. So, not using the fan supplied with the CPU.

Pros: • Lowered CPU temperatures by 20C in a slimline micro ATX case • Silent during lower RPM (see other thoughts) • Great price per performance

Cons: • I damaged part of the plastic that connects the fan to the heat sink (not worth subtracting an egg) • Included thermal paste did not offer great thermal conductivity

Overall Review: At lower RPM the fan is very silent. While at maximum RPM the fan is pretty loud. This can be adjusted through the motherboard based on the CPU temperatures. This is another great product from Zalaman and I will be recommending this to others for their slimline builds.
