Pros: Comes with a cooler solution if you need that. Good thermals. Great 1440P performance when paired with a 3060ti. (1440P is more gpu bound then cpu in most titles).
Cons: 2 versions of this CPU with no way to tell which you are getting. (read my overall review) Limited at ddr4-2666 unless you have a motherboard that allows memory overclocking. I was shipped the G1 stepping version that is not soldered resulting in worst temperatures.
Overall Review: There are 2 stepping versions of this CPU and there is no way to know which you are getting. Core i5-10400F Stepping Q0: It is based on the IHS with a smaller thickness and that is soldered directly to the DIE of the processor. This processor will have better temperatures as it offers better temperature transfer Core i5-10400F Stepping G1: This version of the processor has the new IHS with less thickness than previous generations. It is not soldered to the DIE of the processor and is based on the conventional thermal paste commonly used by the company. We are talking about a less efficient version in terms of heat transfer. Over all at under $140 pretty hard to beat this CPU, very good performance for what you are paying. I am an AMD guy mostly but there are more choices for ITX boards with intel that and the low price is why I went with this product.
Overall Review: If you're upgrading from an old DDR3 build this is the most obvious option if you're frugal. It's got everything you'll need from low wattage to a very nice boost clock to decent memory speeds for what you're paying. No overclocking, voltage changes, or cooling worries required for usually $90 (sometimes on sale too). I'm upgrading my brother's old 4770k to this and I'm certain he'll be happy. I'm surprised Intel managed to pull something so cheap out like this given the specs; definitely gives me hope, but I'm fond of AMD myself. The opposite end of the ladder is the 3300x and I think it's a slight up on this for a little bit more cash, but either way you're getting a great deal. If you're just getting into building or tired of your dusty old build and you don't want to burn your wallet this is a great way to go. Obviously if you have the budget and you want to go higher (maybe looking to grab a 6-core or 8-core or you're wanting to do editing), I implore you to check other options but this is very good.
Pros: No onboard GPU and a small price reduction. Includes a basic cooler.
Cons: The cooler that comes with the processor is good for moderate use, but fails to provide adequate cooling if you're doing any long-term, heavy calculations or gaming.
Overall Review: Great processor, great price, nice cost savings. I would buy again.
Pros: Decent specs for mid to high end gaming, No doubt you'd run into a restriction of GPU in MOST gaming use cases. Pretty good mid tier as far as content creation goes, you wont be cranking out 4k video renders at blistering speeds, but in most of my uses it rendered 1080 to 1440 at a pretty nice rate considering for years I was running a i7-4790 non k edition that was a little on the slow side.
Cons: The stock cooler is not good enough for this product, Unless you get really good luck with thermals I would honestly say you are going to have issues with thermal throttling and VERY high temps, I thought at first it was just a poor installation of the stock cooler so I reinstalled it with some Noctua paste I had around. Didn't help much at all. If you wanted to game with the stock cooler you are going to be fine in like 95% of the games you play as long as they aren't too CPU intensive, so things like ARMA 3 would probably require a better cooler, and if you want to render videos AT ALL you 100% need an aftermarket cooler, I personally am getting ready to run to a Best Buy as I type this to pick one up, because I have tried the stock cooler for rendering and I'm reaching temps in the mid 90s or higher and its throttling after only about 10% of the video is rendered.
Overall Review: Overall this product is great for mid to high tier gaming and low to mid tier content creation. Would recommend especially at this price although I would strongly suggest an aftermarket cooler of some sort if you want your processor to retain lower temps under full load. 4 eggs because as usual Intel stock coolers aren't great if you have anything above the low end processors.
Pros: - Came the very next day - No damage on product - CPU worked out properly without any issues
Overall Review: - Good for someone needing computer parts ASAP - Great for mid-range pc builds
Overall Review: I bought this without gpu using it with msi radeon rx 550 4gb oc graphics card and also using liquid cooling on it. Works perfectly.
Pros: Works Runs cool Runs at good speeds with the stick cooler
Cons: None
Overall Review: Pricing is average, and you get a new Intel chip that has passed QA testing, not much more to write about, but it does pair nicely with an RX-5500
Pros: Awesome entry CPU to socket LGA 1200 108 USD get 4 cores and 8 threads Runs over 4GHz Great product for price F suffix if you don't need on CPU graphics, must have discrete GPU Pro for me
Cons: None!
Overall Review: Love this CPU paired with a GTX1660. Keeps up with GTA 5 and 60FPS all day with V Sync on. With high and ultra setting game was running over 80FPS with this combo. Great CPU for gaming in 1080p. Keeps up. Plop it in the socket, use stock heat sink it came with because it runs cool, and enjoy it for gaming or office use. It's fast for normal everyday things like YouTube and MS Office apps. This will be a popular CPU!
