Overall Review: In my previous Review I forgot to mention that RAM has a huge effect on the ability of the intergrated graphics. I currently am running only 4GB DDR3 with 9-9-9-28 and OC'd to 1600. The increase in speed caused slightly higher frps. RAM with lower timings or higher frequency should also have better results. Also it is only using 512MB of RAM with the option to use up to 2GB. I think this would also give greatly increased performance. I plan to try this once I trade up to 16GB RAM at 8-8-8-24 at 1600. As a last thought on this CPU, people have reported that it is capable of playing Skyrm and Battlefield 3 with fps of around 25. Not the best, but it is still playable. Also, despite this not being a K cpu, the GPU is capable of being overlocked. While this is questionable how effective it will be, minor overclocking up to around 1350 is possible without loosing stability or increasing voltage. I hope this information has been found useful.

Pros: HD 4000 graphics, low power consumption, Quick Sync. I bought this chip for a HTPC and it's all I hoped for. Running a DVD ISO to MKV encode, watching TV and using the Internet all at the same time and all for under 70 Watts power consumption from the wall outlet. HandBrake is running at 167 FPS which is pretty good for a 2 core. With 16 graphic pipelines this will be a great encoding machine once Quick Sync driven encoders come of age.

Overall Review: There's bound to be a lower power, faster chip at some point, but IMHO at the moment this is the best HTPC chip.

Pros: i3-3225 replaced my quadcore 965BE,140W CPU and boy this cpu/fan combo is silent and real workhorse. Does the work quietly and at nice temperature. I put this in ASROCK h77 miniITX board and runs super cool!. HD4000 is added bonus.,that usually comes in i5-i7 series. Haswell will probably make HD4xxx GPU as standard in their next line if i3s?

Cons: None really!. Did not buy on newgg,but somehow a B&M shop starting with M has gotten major chunk of these CPUs for sale. Never really seen good deals!. :-)

Pros: Integrated graphics, so no need for video card in HTPC setup Low TDP, so it stays pretty cool even with stock fan and uses little power Intel brand name

Cons: Using it in a HTPC setup (XBMC on Linux) connected to TV via HDMI. When switching between cable input and HDMI the video does not always appear. Have tried XBMC on Linux and Windows; both seem to behave same way even with "tweaks" to video setup. Even tried 2 different H77 style boards from different "major" manufacturers and see the same issues. Not sure where to look or go next.

Overall Review: Intel CPU mounting method seems strange (chip rests in socket only a certain way) to me since I have used AMD (pins go into sockets) for many many years. Not so sure about complaints saying "chip heats up". Mine stays around 40~45 C under Linux (Ubuntu 12.10) and Windows, even in a small cramped HTPC chassis (no overclocking) that has fans spinning about 2000 rpm, but almost silent. Could build similar setup using AMD APU (use an A-series, not an E- or C-series APU), and that would have a better graphics chip, but it would use slightly more power than Intel CPU with 4000 graphics. Not sure if I would buy another Intel CPU with integrated graphics if they continue to have issues making the HDMI port work.

Pros: Can't beat the performance for the price. Includes Intel HD 4000 graphics, which turns out is surprisingly powerful.

Overall Review: It's good enough to play Skyrim at the lowest settings, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's an amazing HTPC CPU, though.

Overall Review: Overall, this is an absolutely awesome processor at a great price. I am using it in an SFF HTPC. The eXtremely low power consumption makes a great fit for this application, although this chip is performant enough to use in desktop applications as well. The accompanying HSF is actually very low profile, which was great for me. In a desktop build, this would mean that it is less likely to get in the way of wires and other components too. Also, because this chip is SOOO efficient, you can expect the fan noise to be almost non-existent. Likewise, this processor produced very little heat, even at full-load. One thing I have found (as a Linux user) is that the GPU drivers for this chip are still a little green and you will probably need a relatively new kernel in order to get this thing working correctly. I tired compiling the latest drivers for use with 3.2, but didn't have much luck. Ended up upgrading to 3.5 in order to get the drivers to work correctly. That being said, the GPU on this thing is AMAZING considering it is on-die. This thing is fully capable of HD video decoding of all the latest formats and does decently well with 2D and 3D rendering as well. Once the latest drivers were working, I was shocked at the lack of tweaking that was needed to make it work for me without any tearing or jitters in Full HD video playback.

Pros: Quick and quiet. Finally built a new system after going 6 years on AMD, shouldn't have waited that long after firing this thing up.

Cons: Stock CPU fan was busted, looked like shipping damage, but plastic blades were pushed down into metal heat sink.....had to go out and replace. Newegg quickly refunded the cost of the replacement CPU fan, no questions asked. This is why I only shop here, great customer service!!!!!
