Pros: Best entry level gaming cpu. Hyperthreading is always a plus. If you're not too sure about this only being a dual core, let me tell you this thing definitely multi tasks like a quad core. I can have skype open, itunes, heroes of newerth/wow/runescape open WHILE watching a stream at 1080P without it bogging down AT ALL. This thing is a beast. BLOWS ANY QUAD CORE AMD out of the water. I'm not tooting my horn, look at benchmarks. Only in very specific rendering stuff does any phenom II or FX do better. (programs optimized for quad cores) This thing runs laps on anything around it's price range.

Pros: It's inexpensive and fast - a great way to experience Intel's excellent Sandy Bridge CPU. I ventured outside of Intel territory but that build completely failed on me, so going back to Intel was a very wise decision. This is definitely the fastest Dual Core CPU on the planet (as of right now) - and it's easily able to compete with some of the older quad and even hex core workstations on the LAN that I'm using it on.

Cons: None of the Intel Core i3's are overclock-friendly, but then again, if you're even in the market for this type of CPU, that sort of thing probably doesn't matter to you.

Overall Review: I heavily debated between this and the i5-2500K and in the end I decided that if you don't really need the extra power - you don't really need it, and the beauty of Z68 is that there's such a wide range of CPUs that if you get this one and decide that it's not fitting your needs you can always drop in a new one!

Overall Review: This was purchased for a a client on a budget which was centered around graphic design. This CPU was paired with an ITX board in an Antec ISK 300-150 case. This CPU does not produce much heat and with the integrated graphics is a much better choice than the rebranded pentium 4s a a slightly lower price point

Pros: Used for a home video server, works perfect!

Cons: None at all!

Pros: beats AMD's hexacore and octacore processors in a bunch of different tasks.

Overall Review: integrated graphics are great.

Pros: Price/performance is great, no other cpu from AMD really comes close in gaming at this price, however there are some AMD cpus currently able to out the i3 in multithreaded tasks at this price. IF you are a gamer and need something cheap and don't plan to overclock or do anything all too threaded, this should be just fine.

Overall Review: If intel would release a K series for the budget overclocker the i3 would be an amazing sell and really eat into AMDs budget gamers. Although it would probably cannibalize their own i5 line a bit.

Pros: Go to tomshardware.com and look up the charts for these new sandy bridge processors. This i3-2120 is faster than quite a lot of things. It beats old Core2Quads, and most of AMDs new chips too. It's really impressive how even Intel's low end processor grouping is about the equivalent of AMD's high end processor grouping. I got this one when it was on sale for the same as the i3-2100. Free upgrade in speed is always nice. This thing really does work! I have been playing SC2 and WoW on ultra, Skyrim on ultra, never had less than 60fps with Vsync on. Everything opens in the blink of an eye, files uncompress almost instantly. Epic upgrade from my Core2Duo t9500. Also worth noting that my old Core2Duo ran at about 48 degrees C idle, and 60 degrees when playing games with my noctua cooler. This i3 is ALWAYS at about 32 degrees C with my noctua cooler, even playing games it stays within 4-5 degrees of what it idles at.

Cons: I wish all of Intel's processors had the clock multiplier unlocked, I bet this thing could be cranked way beyond it's stock clock setting. Not worth complaining about though!

Overall Review: The fan that comes with this thing looks pretty dinky, I must admit. I never used it though, I have my own cooler which I love. Seriously though, this processor performs faster than most 4 core computers I've used in the past. Crazy.

Pros: Low power consumption and overall speed for the price. I paired this with an Intel DH16BE running Windows 7 Pro. Flawless install. Used the included Intel driver disc without issue. It just works! I replaced a 2.8 Ghz P4 Dell with this. The Dell was like a space heater in our home office. It easily added 5 degrees to the room while running. The new systen runs cool and quiet. The old Dell pulled 105 watts idle and 170-210 running basic office tasks (office, powerpoint, or flash websites). This new CPU/Board combo pulls just 28 watts idle and hits 65 at full load. If you are not a gamer, this may be just what you are looking for.

Overall Review: New egg has combos for CPU's and boards for gamers but not for general use workstations. I would like to see more "Green" combos that offer a nice blend of speed and power saving capabilities.
