HIS Radeon HD 4890 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card H489F1GP

Pros: No problems with the drivers in the short time I've been using it. Right now I'm running it clocked in at 940Mhz core and 1160Mhz VRAM. At these settings it clears Vantage on High with no artifacting and my score went up from H6153 on my 512MB HD4870 (tested on a clean boot) to H7623 on this 4890 (without trying a clean boot yet.) That's something like 24%. How can you NOT love that?

Cons: ATI Overdrive clocks mine in at 990Mhz GPU and 1190Mhz VRAM, but it artifacts like mad at those settings in 3DMark Vantage. But let's be honest, that's a ridiculous increase from the stock speeds of 850/950.

Overall Review: Only had it for a few days but what I've seen so far is truly amazing me.

Pros: Runs cool(44c idle @ 38% fan speed) (57-60c load @ 60% fan speed)... and fan noise is not an issue for me. I gained a nice increase with bench marks in Vantage and 3DMARK06 scores, plus very good in game performance. Overall very pleased so far.

Cons: None really...

Overall Review: I replaced a 1 year old ASUS 4870 512mb card, which has run awesome from day one, with this HIS 4890. I hope the reliability of my new card proves to be that of my previous one. Newegg delivered my package in 2 days and offed this card at a great price of less than 200.00 after all discounts, rebates and promo savings, which was less than what I paid for my 4870 last year...NICE !..... Great job Newegg, best prices and customer service anywhere !.... :) My system : HIS 4890, Gigabyte X48 DS4, C2D E8500@3.8GHz, 8GB G.Skill DDR2 1066 PC2-8500 @ 5-5-5-15 @1.2v, Zalman CNPS9700, ABS 900w modular PSU, 2 WD 640GB HHD...NZXT Apollo mid-Tower case w/3 Antec 120mm fans...etc,etc....

Pros: The card is great and fast when it isn't making noise.

Cons: The ball bearing on the fan makes a ton of noise. I called HIS (after taking an hour trying to track down their phone number, to no avail, yet finding it here). They basically told me they would RMA the card and take it back. That it would take 3-4 weeks. Their procedure is to have you ship them the card for 3-4 weeks and then you'll get a fixed card after that period. I asked if they had an exchange program like most other manufacturers, where they take your credit card info and ship you an identical card, then you use the box to ship them back the old one. They said they do not have such a program. So basically, you're out of a computer while they get your card fixed. The tech support guy actually had the nerve to say "buy a new card if you need a computer for that period of time". I couldn't believe he said that. What's the purpose of a warranty if I have to buy a new card?

Overall Review: I called Newegg to complain and was sent to escalations. They are taking back this card 5 months after I bought it for a 15% restocking fee, though I get to keep the mail-in rebate (which still hasn't arrived 5 months after purchase, might I add). They will give me a refund (not store credit). I'm already shopping for a new non-HIS card. Whatever you do, don't buy this card. Buy from another company. How these people stay in business with this kind of customer service is beyond me. On their webpage's Support section, you put in the serial number of the card and it shoots you back to the homepage. You go back to Support and do it again, and it shoots you back to the homepage again. I couldn't find the Tech Support telephone number anywhere, except for the company main line in Hong Kong which doesn't help me. I love Newegg. They took care of me and kept me a loyal customer. This company has the best customer service in the industry.

Pros: *bought it for 189 shipped *smaller than my GTX260 *faster than my GTX260 *makes everything look prettier than my GTX260 *runs 50* idle and 63* load with ATiTool *looks good in my Foxconn Black Ops mobo *plays anything out on my 1680 x 1050 22" LCD *Oc's very nicely(950mhz easily) haven't pushed it anymore than that though.

Cons: none other than I can't believe I didn't make the switch over to ATi sooner.

Overall Review: I am a hardware freak and the 4890s are the best bang for the buck if you want a good performance rig. I can't believe how much prettier this card makes everything look...deeper colors and it just looks cleaner. It's like comparing an LCD TV to a plasma...the plasma just plain looks better. ATi is back in it for the win!!!

Pros: This card is fantastic, blew my old nvidia 8 series out the water, Overclocks like a champ, the majority of my games now run 90fps and upwards, Crysis (64bit) manages 40FPS (2x AA @1600x1200 Max settings) definitely the best sub 3$$ card on the market. Tempted to go Crossfire.

Cons: Not entirely a con, but on the fan, lets be frank above 50% speed its a hoover (but a very efficient hoover), though at default clocks you wont see more than 38% (and its a whisper at 30%) at 100% load. It gets really hot, upwards of 78-80c though if you're case is a good sound isolator 50% fan will have you sitting around 65c.

Overall Review: Best card purchase I have made, beats out the others. Not the best of all cards on the market. But it's King at its price bracket, hopefully I will be seeing a solid 1ghz core on it when I get my water cooling rig setup.

Pros: Very fast, fairly quiet. Very seemless upgrade from the ATI 330 on board video that my MSI 790GX-G65 AM3 MB has. I'm running the AM3 720 chip FWIW. Grabbed the latest drivers from ATI website, seems to work great under Windows7 RC1. Fast delivery. I ordered this board on Thursday afternoon around 2:00 PM. It arrived at my house the next day under the standard free shipping! Wow! I expected delivery on Monday or Tuesday! Great price. This board cost me $241 delivered including CA state tax. That is a great deal.

Cons: None.

Pros: Fast card. Does everything great. Wonderful price.

Cons: Died after 8 months. Did not overclock. Playing Americas Army and it just died (with some wonderful smell of something burning).

Overall Review: My computer is used every day. Do video editing and gaming, so a need a fast video card. This one fit the bill. The price was excellent. The card ran well until it died a catastrophic pop and smell of something burning. Totally unexpected.

Pros: Pros: it can be easily flashed to use with OS X. Fast, and it doesn't get nearly as hot as my 8800 GT did. The latter card died, and so got replaced with this.

Cons: It's not a 5870? Heh.
