GELID Solutions FN-SX08-16 80mm Case cooler

Pros: Low RPM, not real noisy. Nice cable wrap. White blades make it easy to see if it is spinning. Bearings are quiet.

Cons: Noisier than Vantec Stealth & Rexus NMB-MAT & both move more air; more noise probably attributed to fan blade shape. The noise is a distinct whirring sound of the blades.

Overall Review: While the Vantec & Rexus directionally push the air; the Gelid seems to disperse the air on its output. This may make for a good front or side intake fan, especially since the whirring blade noise is on the output side and would be directed into the case.

Pros: No sound -- you really have to look to make sure the fan is moving! Great fan for the price.

Cons: Does not make coffee.

Overall Review: Gelid has a great fan. Looking forward to trying out their other models.

Pros: I had a noisy stock fan on the front of the desktop case. Now it is so much quieter with this one. It is also inexpensive. I have other similar quiet fans that sold for twice the price.

Cons: None I can see thus far.

Pros: Good airflow/dB ratio especially for the price. About as quiet as one could expect for a sub 10 dollar fan. No ridiculous colored LEDs.

Cons: It doesn't fit in my perpetual motion machine.

Overall Review: Bought a pair of these to replace the rear 80mm fans in a RPC-4220 server case. My plan is to get the basic sound level as low as possible BEFORE populating the case with hard disks. Already replaced the 4x80mm on the midwall with 3x120mm Sigmateks and I'm thinking about replacing those with 120mm Gelids if they can perform as well as these 80mm's have.

Pros: Good airflow, very quiet. Much quieter than the case fan it replaced with nearly as much airflow.

Cons: Not a wind tunnel

Overall Review: I like the fan enough replacing an 80mm generic LED top case fan to get replacements for the 2 rear 80mm case fans with the Gelid silent 80mm fans and another one to blow over the GPU. These things are very quite. They are NOT silent, but very, very low noise and good, but not excellent air flow (excellent for their volume). Pretty white fan blades, quite silicone mounts, great cable wrap.

Pros: It is pretty silent, as much as a case fan can be. Has a mesh cable covering that terminates to a 3 pin mobo molex connector, at this price point you would hard pressed to find something of this quality. Came with ruberized mounts instead of screws to absorb vibration, and they are reusable. Even the packaging was of high quality. Has a hydro bearing = silience and longetivity All in all, good fan. I don't see many reviews, so I am adding my 2 cents.

Cons: Mobo reporting max CFM around 1200. Not bad for its size, considering how quiet it is. Use it as a side intake or front case fan or HTPC fan to maximize cooling:quiet capacity.

Pros: Absolutely silent. Using it in a Gateway desktop that has been repurposed as an HTPC - have it installed on the side of the case to provide a little extra cooling to the TV tuner, sound, and video cards. Definitely moves plenty of air for this application.

Cons: It's great as a secondary fan, but may not be a suitable replacement for a "brand name" tower's main fan. Many use a single, high-flow 80mm fan to cool the entire chassis - while this provides additional airflow, it's not enough for a main fan.
