Pros: Very happy with this purchase, best bang for your bucks. Laptop run extremely fast with everything I throw at it. When gaming CPU temp heat up about 88-90 C with Turbo Boost, but once I disable the Turbo Boost and the CPU clocked at 2.9 GHz solved the thermal problem. Playing game like MW:Warzone, Monster Hunter World (ICEBORNE), League of Legends, HOTS, frame rates are well over the 100 fps while maintain a temp of 77-80 C. Keyboard has great travel distance when pressed, and the track pad is very responsive.
Cons: The monitor has poor colors and seem overly bright washout. Slow response time 16-18 ms, and ghosting even though it's 144Hz. Honeycomb vents at the bottom is blocked with very few opening for intake air, and the fans are loud (45-50 dB) enough but tolerable not obnoxiously loud.
Overall Review: Overall, I would like to congratulate AMD on a well made CPU for gamer, worth the purchase even though the cheaply monitor that this beast came with. Thank you NEWEGG.com for delivering the product safely and functioning. ASUS please make functioning ventilation not plastic honeycomb shape that are blocked and called it ventilation.
Pros: - Extremely potent CPU - Easily Upgradable (RAM/SSD/WiFi) - Great GPU that I may use more if I start playing with VR/AR at some point. - Great battery life for such a potent laptop (though I don't game on battery) ------ CAUTION: This same laptop is available with a much smaller battery, using the saved space for a 2.5" internal drive. If you're good with the dual NVMe drives and want the extra battery run-time, be careful to look for these with 90Whr battery. - The best feeling keyboard of any laptop I've ever owned (see CON about combined Home/End though) - Available 2nd NVMe SSD slot for future expansion (this is a BIG DEAL). - Runs Hyper-V virtual machines fantastically, especially after I upgraded the RAM to 64GB.
Cons: - The biggest CON from a developer perspective is the combined HOME/END key. Having to use FN+Home/End to get END is too cumbersome. Very easy to use the free utility SharpKeys to re-map the minus key on the num-pad to be the END key (it gets persisted to registry, so no need to do it more than once). - Inconsistent product descriptions between product listings and even the ASUS web page for it. Max RAM and CPU Cores on the Ryzen 7 4800h being the obvious ones... - When the fans kick on, they're loud -- this should only happen when you're playing games and kick the GPU into gear... not a problem for productivity work.
Overall Review: I love it. I would recommend it for anyone who needs a super-potent portable workstation. I bought this configuation expecting to upgrade the memory without paying the pre-configured price for 64GB. After upgrading the RAM to 64GB (I found conflicting statements of Maximum RAM supported, and at what speeds I decided to play it safe and went with the 64GB kit of Gskill RipJaws 2666Mhz, and it works perfectly. The only slight negative to this laptop is the fact they went with the combined home/end key... Aparently they think people who use a "gaming" laptop don't actually do much typing/editing of text. Luckily that was easy enough to fix by remapping... If I did more gaming, I may be annoyed by the fan noise, but for my primarily productivity workload, the fans rarely even kick on, and if when they do, it's at a very quiet speed.
Pros: - Fast ryzen 7 4800h processor paired with GTX 1660 Ti - 90wt battery - Design is great looks tougher on paper.
Cons: - Temperature im getting spiked of 99 degrees but stabilize to 85 on games with ultra settings. - wifi 5 instead of wifi 6 chip
Overall Review: I would highly recommend this product to any casual gamer. all my games run smooth and flawless since out of the box. i never had any issues. its really fast and the screen is bright in my own opinion its great even some users complain the poor screen. if you plan to use as content creation just attached a decent color accurate monitor. overall its the best laptop i have ever purchased. not to mention the fast delivery in the country im in only took 4 days!
Pros: 1st lets mention Neweggs service, I was waiting a month for this laptop from other retailers. I happened to see it in stock and orders it at 3:00pm, it was at UPS and on its way by 4:30 that day! Now for the laptop. I bought this mostly for gaming and for some light video editing of gopro footage. So far it has fit my needs perfectly. I’m not playing the newest games do have really pushed the laptop too hard. It plays R6 siege, COD war zone, CS Go and Valorant with no issues. Some ppl complain the screen isn’t good but I have not had any issues and it’s good enough for me. It’s not as nice as my 4K HDR tv of course but it’s not meant to be. The processor on this thing is impressive! I rendered a video that on my 5 year old laptop would’ve taken an hour, this had it done in 1 minute! I have not had any heat issues as some reports out there claim, but again I’m not really pushing the limits with my use. Build quality seems solid and I like the size.
Cons: Keyboard is kind of “soft” for a gaming laptop, wish the keys had a more mechanical feel. Thought the load times would be a bit faster.
Overall Review: I’m very happy with this laptop so far. I would highly recommend it.
Overall Review: Great laptop with its specs, only downside is the loud fan
Pros: Fast and long battery life (90wh) with plenty of ssd storage (500GB). Newest Ryzen 7 with 1660TI video for smoothly running most applications and some gaming. Not the newest video card but good enough for most users. Great value for a mid priced laptop at around 1k. My daughter is taking this to college to study engineering and is very happy with it..
Overall Review: If this laptop is available - just go ahead and buy it.
Pros: .
Overall Review: If you're not gaming the battery is absolutely amazing. Even with screen brightness and performance set to 100%. I love this thing so far. Gaming on it performs better than I thought it would, considering the cooling solution and gpu spec. If you take into consideration what you're getting for the price, there are no cons. Sure I'd love an aluminium chassis, or a 2080 to but you're not going to get that for 999.

Pros: Very fast 8 core amd 4000 series cpu. Upgradeable ram and storage. Additional ssd slot. Rgb keyboard. Very slick looking and not bulky. Well constructed feels solid.
Cons: The wireless adapter is a 802.11ac and not the new 802.11ax.
Overall Review: Shipping was great arrived before I thought it would since it ordered with preorder and in the middle of the covid-19 pandemic. Very well packaged. Make sure to read the instructions for first use and charging. As it says to charge it for a few hours before running on battery power. and also to have it plugged in in a grounded outlet during first power on. First start up took a bit longer than expected just give it time and windows setup will load. Battery holds up well depending on what you are doing gaming drains it the fastest. I like the design of it and quality build. So far very happy with the purchase. Only down side I have is the wireless card being a 802.11ac would have been nice to see this model with a 802.11ax as most new devices now are being equipped with the new card standard. Not a huge deal since 802.11ac is capably of speeds over my ISP. Also I just plan on upgrading the adapter in the future anyway. Speaking of upgrades this laptop has a second ssd/hdd slot for more storage. Also comes with a little cable adapter I’m assuming is for second drive. And additional screws incase you lose some during a upgrade. This laptop is prolly faster than my desktop very spot with purchase and Newegg rocks.
