Pros: I bought nine of these for a small Christian to stream video from the internet. Every one installed without a hitch using the included CD. It was plugged in to a USB port the software was installed it found the wireless adapter all that was required was to type in the network pass code. It took about three minutes.each. There have been no dropped signal or any other problems so far.
Cons: Non so far!
Overall Review: I have only been using these for a week; so I can't comment on the longevity of these adapters. all of the computers using these adapters are in the same large class room and a maximum about thirty feet for the wifi router. there is one paneled wall separating the room from the router. As with all wifi connections, distance and barriers will affect the quality of the signal. I can only speak of the setup that we have. If we have problems down the road. I will post an update.
Considering the price of item I consider it a bargain.
Pros: I really like these wireless adapter...they are great for setting up new computer builds since a lot of the required drivers are now on Window's Update. It is a easy set up process with the enclosed software. I purchased 5 of these for computer build for charity and kept one for driver downloads. Great product.
Overall Review: With a reduced price of $6.99 I will have to say that these are well worth the price.
Pros: This little guy is still going strong after a year+ of use never skips a beat, great little wifi usb nano adapter.
Overall Review: These work great for pc, or laptops since they are small and don't stick out like some bigger usb wifi adapters do.
Grab one if you need it wont be disappointed.
Pros: -Good range
This device is perfect for what I was looking for. I needed to add wireless back to an older laptop that had a damaged wireless card. This was great cheap solution. I have a great signal, even when I am on the opposite side of my house from the router. Speeds are good enough for some online gaming, file transfers are of course much slower than my gigabit connections... but that is to be expected. Its super tiny and does not stick out far from the laptop. Just a great product for a great price!
Cons: No true cons come to mind. Windows 7 couldn't automatically get drivers for it, so I did need to use the CD that came with it, but that is not a big deal and is something I expected to have to do.
Overall Review: Overall I am very impressed with this product, especially for the price. Does everything I need!
Pros: -Plug-and-play installation, provided you first have access to a wired network connection.
-Windows 8 compatible
-Very compact size
-No reception problems
Cons: -Provided software is outdated, this may confuse some users
Overall Review: This is a solid product that does what it does without much fuss. Useful to add wi-fi to a desktop PC or replacing a broken wi-fi adaptor in a notebook.
Blinky blue light!
Cons: Weak signal
Overall Review: I bought these for all the positive reviews. Only one of the 5 is working. Bought 3 and two were defective, so I got them replaced. Another 2 blew out soon afterwards. (Different machines, different clients.)
Edimax at least replaced the original 2, but I'm tired of boxing them up, getting RMA's and paying $6 apiece to send them back. I've given up.
Pros: Very small, doesn't stick out from side of laptop.
Good reception two rooms away from wireless router.
Cons: none so far
Overall Review: Needed a USB wireless adapter for an 8 year-old Windows XP laptop. Speed is limited due to slow-ish USB 1.1 ports on laptop. However, this tiny adapter is unobtrusive and works OK for internet surfing, email, and watching standard definition video on Youtube.
Pros: Extremely small size makes this a perfect fit for any use. It will not get caught on or get tugged on by other devices when getting moved around and on notebooks / netbooks it will fit into most sleves without having to remove it. Has very good range even for its size, better than many larger devices of this type.
Cons: When placed in a USB port that is recessed a small amount this becomes nearly impossible to remove without the use of a pair of needle-nosed pliers. Not that is really a con... but if you are the type that wants to remove it after use... it does create an added worry.
Overall Review: Plug-n-play with Ubuntu 12.04 no issues at all. This actually picks up wireless networks my other larger USB adapters did not even see.
