Question 1

Is the Dell Pro 24 QB24250 with Ultra 7 and 32GB worth choosing over an Ultra 5 and 16GB configuration?

Accepted Answer

Choose the Ultra 7/32GB version if you regularly keep many applications open or work with larger spreadsheets and other memory-intensive tasks. Its Core Ultra 7 265 has 20 cores, compared with 14 cores in the available Core Ultra 5 245, and it doubles the memory from 16GB to 32GB. For everyday browsing, email, and documents, the lower configuration may be sufficient.

Question 2

Should I upgrade the Dell Pro 24 QB24250 from Ultra 7 265 to Ultra 9 285?

Accepted Answer

Consider the Ultra 9 285 if your work regularly benefits from additional CPU cores, such as running heavily parallel workloads. Dell lists the Ultra 9 as a QB24250 option; it has 24 cores versus 20 in the Ultra 7 265. For typical office work and multitasking, the Ultra 7/32GB configuration is likely the more appropriate stopping point unless you have a specific CPU-intensive workload.

Question 3

Should I get the Dell Pro 24 QB24250 or the 24-inch iMac?

Accepted Answer

Choose this Dell if you need Windows 11 Pro, a touchscreen, and the listed 32GB of memory for a business-oriented setup. Choose the iMac if you prefer macOS and prioritize a higher-resolution built-in display: Apple specifies a 24-inch 4.5K Retina screen, while this Dell configuration has a 23.8-inch Full HD touchscreen. They suit different operating-system and display priorities.

Question 4

Is this all-in-one suitable for office work and video meetings?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Its Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, 32GB of memory, Windows 11 Pro, touchscreen, and built-in webcam make it suited to typical office tasks and video meetings. The product information does not specify the webcam’s resolution or microphone details.

Question 5

Does it need a separate computer tower?

Accepted Answer

No. This is an all-in-one PC, with the computer integrated into the display. The listed package contents include a keyboard, mouse, power cord, and height-adjustable stand.

Question 6

Can I connect a second monitor?

Accepted Answer

The product specifications list one rear DisplayPort output, which can be used to connect a compatible external display. Check that the monitor and cable support DisplayPort.

Question 7

Is this practical to take on the road or move around often?

Accepted Answer

It is better suited to a stationary workspace than frequent travel. It weighs 21.44 lb, measures 21.3 inches wide, and is listed as an all-in-one desktop; the product information does not list a battery.

Question 8

Can Dell Command | Deploy find the QB24250 driver pack?

Accepted Answer

A Reddit discussion reports that searching for “Qx24250” or “Qx2425x” found the driver package. A later commenter had not yet confirmed deployment, so verify the package and test your task sequence before a wider rollout.

Question 9

Is the height-adjustable stand’s height range documented?

Accepted Answer

A Reddit user reported being unable to find the stand’s height range in Dell support materials. The product information identifies a height-adjustable stand, but does not give its range; confirm the adjustment limits with the seller or Dell if desk ergonomics are a deciding factor.

Question 10

Will an older OptiPlex 7000 All-in-One stand fit the QB24250?

Accepted Answer

The Reddit discussion does not confirm compatibility. It identifies GRX59 as the QB24250 height-adjustable stand part number, so check the replacement part against Dell’s compatibility information rather than assuming an OptiPlex 7000 stand will fit.
