- Organizations and IT teams standardizing on Windows business laptops that need options such as Intel vPro, mobile broadband, and business-oriented security features.
- Mobile professionals who want long unplugged stretches for everyday office work; a LaptopMedia test of a 55Wh configuration recorded more than 16 hours of video playback, though results depend on configuration and workload.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- For a typical workday of email, spreadsheets, browser tabs, and business apps, the Pro 14 Plus is positioned as a business laptop and review testing supports everyday productivity use; performance can vary by configuration.
- When moving between home, office, and meetings, a worker can carry the 14-inch laptop for everyday tasks; review testing and owner reports describe it as suitable for mobile work, though battery life varies with configuration and workload.
- For work away from Wi-Fi, a configuration equipped with optional 5G can connect through a mobile network, which is useful for checking email or accessing cloud work while traveling; availability depends on the selected configuration and service plan.
- On the optional 2-in-1 touch configuration, users can fold the display back for tablet-style reading, presenting, or reviewing documents without keeping the keyboard in front; this mode is not available on the standard clamshell configuration.
- At a desk, a worker can use the laptop with an external monitor and dock for a larger workspace; owners report using the Pro 14 Plus in docked setups, with the number and resolution of displays depending on the dock and configuration.
