The Datalogic Skorpio X5 943500050 is an Android 10 handheld mobile computer with a pistol grip and extra-long-range 2D imager, suited to warehouse and logistics teams scanning barcodes at a distance.
Recommended For
- Warehouse and distribution-center pickers who scan barcodes on high or distant rack locations; the XLR imager is designed for extra-long-range capture, and the pistol grip suits repeated trigger-based scanning.
- Inventory and receiving teams that need to scan large-format labels from a distance while moving around a warehouse or logistics facility.
- Warehouse or shop-floor workers entering item codes as well as scanning, since this configuration combines a 47-key alphanumeric keyboard with a barcode imager.
- Manufacturing and logistics operations deploying rugged Android handhelds for barcode-based data collection across a work site.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- In a warehouse, a picker scans a nearby item and then a barcode on a higher or farther rack location; the XLR imager is designed to handle both distances without switching devices.
- During pallet and rack picking, a worker scans location and product labels while moving through the warehouse; the pistol-grip form supports repeated trigger-based scanning as the worker records picks.
- For receiving and putaway, staff scan incoming goods and storage-location labels as stock is checked in and moved; the device can support these steps in a warehouse inventory workflow.
- On a forklift, an operator can scan pallet or rack labels from the vehicle during warehouse movements; the XLR range can reduce the need to stop and approach every label, depending on label size and placement.
- In a store backroom, staff can scan items during stock counts and replenishment, then use the handheld computer to record inventory actions in the store’s compatible workflow.
