Fantastic upgrade from an Alienware Chasis

Cooler Master HAF X - High Air Flow Full Tower Computer Case with Windowed Side Panel and USB 3.0 Ports
Cooler Master HAF X - High Air Flow Full Tower Computer Case with Windowed Side Panel and USB 3.0 Ports

Pros: Very roomy! maybe too much room! I upgraded from an older gen Alienware Aurora case with terrible air flow. This one drastically improved it with a big big difference. Wheels help a lot!! helps with moving and keeping less dust out. You can request for USB 3.0 headers through their part request page for free. Wiring and cable management was simple with its plentiful cable mgt holes

Cons: Very tall, i thought it would be the same size as my alienware case but it was about 3" taller due to the use of wheels. Some reason, it was missing a thumbscrew on the side-window panel, but they gave you spares in their bag!

Overall Review: At first i was concerned with the inadequate dust filters from 932 but this HAF-X has good enough front dust filter, PSU bottom filter, side panel filter (non-removable), and no dust filter on top besides its own design. PLEASE PLEASE ditch your alienware case!! it has terrible air flow. this case gave me a 30-40c difference with my GPU.

Fantastic Card Upgrade from a 8800GT!

EVGA SuperClocked 01G-P3-1563-AR GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
EVGA SuperClocked 01G-P3-1563-AR GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Pros: Very COOL card. I upgraded from the older gen Alienware chasis to the HAF-X and 8800GT 512MB to 560Ti SC. And WOW, is it a big upgrade in terms of power and temperature. I use dual monitors (22" and 19") My 8800gt idled at 60c and 86c on load with 100% fan speed! The 560ti SC (stock clocks) however, gave me 40c (28c with just single 22" 60Hz monitor @40% fan) idle and 55c on load (@60% fan speed). GPU load is less than 45%. This is tested on a sunny 70F day.

Cons: -The plastic wrap is noticeable on the front, but i didnt realize it was on the top as well until i put it in my case. 3 total plastic pieces to take off! -Had to tinker with nVidia control panel settings to improve FPS to 65 from 35 for Starcraft 2 on Ultra. (google how to improve FPS for sc2 for details)

Overall Review: I recommend to setup fan profile with EVGA Precision so it can ramp up at temperature it hits. It's quiet at 60% for me. I recommend ditching your alienware case if you have one too. Air flow/temperature is very important for me since i live in the valley and it can easily get over 90 in the summer, so this was a fantastic change. My 8800GT would get to 78C on LOW settings for SC2 @100% fan! High would reach up to 86C @100% fan. Unbelievable. Make sure to delete any existing display drivers. I used driver sweeper through Safe Mode, reboot, installed new drivers from Nvidia.com, reboot. Q6600 stock, 700W PSU, 4GB G.Skill RAM, Evga 780i MOBO, HAF-X, Evga 560Ti SC

great gaming headset

SENNHEISER PC166 USB 3.5mm/ USB Connector Circumaural Headset
SENNHEISER PC166 USB 3.5mm/ USB Connector Circumaural Headset

Pros: I do not use the USB soundcard it came with and I only have an onboard soundcard so no fancy 5.1, however, it still plays wonderfully. nothing wrong with the sound. I play WoW and i'm able to hear sounds that I never heard before. the ambiance and sound effects in the background is heard through this headset that i wouldnt hear otherwise on my speakers. It is very comfortable for me, it's adjustable for how long your head is and it keeps my ears nice and warm at night :) I can wear it for long hours without any complaints The microphone is what I searching for in a headset and this is it. I came from a 20$ logitech headset that was would pinch my ears and I was hard to hear even though I had the mic in front of my mouth. This headset, the mic adjusts up and down but not swivel side to sidez very much because of the rubber that bends it back in position. however, I don't need it in front of my mouth because the clarity is great. I use vent and in-game WoW voicechat and they have n

Cons: -Not covering ear, only sits on the ear. It only bothered me for a little bit but couldn't find any perfect. -If using USB sound card that it came with, it WILL disable your onboard soundcard, thus will not be able to use your speakers! if you want to use both, you will have to know how to manually disable otherwise skip the USB. -Leaks sound. because it's not covering the ear, it leaks sound pretty badly but oh well. -Volume adjuster is easily to be changed as it is a dial and gets in the way pretty easily. Minor problem though.

Overall Review: I'm not an audiophile but am a hardcore gamer. I bought these awhile back, it has been longer than a month now and so far it has been great! Now, in terms of what I was searching for was 1. Must have good reviews 2.It had to be this type of ear-buds 3. Has to have a GREAT microphone 4. Durability. it MUST be long lasting 5. Sound Quality, since I only have an onboard soundcard.

Logitech G5 2-Tone 6 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Laser 2000 dpi Mouse
Logitech G5 2-Tone 6 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Laser 2000 dpi Mouse

Pros: + Same feel with the older models + Weight adjustments + Setpoint the installer for this mouse allows different configurations for different programs! (Button programs can change when in Firefox set switches automatically to having a gaming config) + Left/Right webpage scrolling

Cons: - Wheel noise is loud! - Back/Forward command won't work for Firefox! you will have to update the driver - Less buttons compared to mx500/510 models

Overall Review: After having the mx500 for about two years now, switching to the G5 takes a little getting used to because the lack of buttons they have on G5 compared to the 500. But since the software the mouse comes with is able to configure the bindings for program, it is pretty neat to have. Although, i really do get annoyed by the very loud wheel noise it creates compared to the 500
