Video Brick

EVGA 896-P3-1262-AR GeForce GTX 260 Superclocked Edition 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card
EVGA 896-P3-1262-AR GeForce GTX 260 Superclocked Edition 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

Pros: Best GPU for the price. $250 after rebate is a steal for this. Runs Crysis on high settings. Can go SLI as if there were anything you actually needed 2 of these for.

Cons: Huge. No problems fitting it in my case, but my father asked me, "THAT'S a video CARD? Looks more like a video BRICK!"

SIGMA MONSTER SP1000C 1000W Continuous @ 40°C ATX12V 2.2V / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Active PFC Power Supply
SIGMA MONSTER SP1000C 1000W Continuous @ 40°C ATX12V 2.2V / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Modular Cables... 120mm fan... .... .... shiny.

Cons: Gave me headaches. The PCIe connectors didn't supply any juice at all. The 8 and 24 pin mobo connectors supplied enough power to light up the leds on my board but that's it. Replaced it with a 800w for quite a few bucks less and fired my comp right up.

Overall Review: Dunno, I thought maybe 26 amps on the 3.3 and 5v was not enough to power up a evga nforce 780i & core 2 quad 9550. My replacement 800w has the exact same amperage across all rails so I don't get it. Price was right on this one but the quality isn't there. Next time I'll stick with a trusted brand.
