Pros: OCs to 3800CL14
Was able to tighten secondary timings
Improved memory bandwidth over 3800CL16.
Slightly better benchmarks.
Cons: Requires GDM on (at least the set I got).
Runs hot and needs fan to OC/tighten timings.
Overall Review: OCd to 3800CL14. Same ram as the 3800mhz version just not binned as well. I was able to OC it with some additional voltage and a fan. Will not work with GDM disabled. I replaced 3600CL16 that I had OC to 3800CL16 that worked fine with GDM off. I guess it is just the kit itself but overall I gained about 1GBs memory bandwidth.
Probably not worth it to most people but if you have to have the fastest you end up paying!
Pros: Great sound with some EQ tweaks
Good Surround Sound and positional awareness
Cons: Poor mic performance, very low level.
Poor battery life compared to my former set
Overall Review: Great sound but unfortunately these have a major flaw in the Mic (2nd most important thing about Gaming Headset). No interest from manufacturer to correct issue (multiple people reporting this). FW is version .01 or something like that. What is that Beta? Come on Corsair fix these please!
I RMA'd first set with Newegg (took like 4 weeks). New set people can kind of hear me but I literally have to eat the mic. It basically has to be touching my bottom lip or they wont hear me which is annoying.
I will keep for now until I can get something better, I might even try a desk mic and not use the headset mic (which will stink).
Pros: The case is super easy to do a clean install. I just upgraded my system and kept the case!
Cons: Not a major con for me, but front and top has to be off for best cooling
Overall Review: I love this case and its great to work on and tinker with. Pics didnt come out too good but it looks amazing.
Pros: This unit works well with Cooling, the RGB is nice.
Cons: The software is bad and conflicts with my AIDA64 monitoring software. Constantly get the USB disconnecting sound when software running so I stopped using it until I got Corsair Headset which also requires same software.
Overall Review: I might get it again but wouldn't get the headphones so I didn't have to use software.
It seen Corsair doesnt test their software or products with anything besides their stuff.
Pros: This card is quite and fast. I replaced a STRIX RX-480 OC and it is faster with similar software and controls. I looked at other RTX 2070 options for less but decided to stick with the ROG STRIX line.
Cons: Not really a negative, but a very large card. Just fits in my Mid Tower (which I want to upgrade next year).
Overall Review: I think if you are willing to pay for it and can afford it then this is a great card!
Pros: Great replacement for various UPS units. Installed new 'upgrade' batteries and recalibrated units and the runtime is improved!
Overall Review: Great value pack, good customer service and fast shipping!
Pros: Cheaper than full price auto renew. Easy to activate online @ xbox live!
Cons: have to manually activate but that is worth saving a few bucks!
Pros: Updating my review as I found a driver issue causing my pc to lag.
The ram works as advertised, full speed at rated timing and voltages.
The profiles made it easy to setup the ram in the bios!
Overall Review: Very happy with this ram!
Pros: Great CPU, easy to Overclock so far! Haven't even touched the voltage and got a 1ghz OC! Really impressed with this CPU so far.
Cons: Havent found any yet!
Overall Review: Had a Q9650 before which this out performs so far in testing!
Pros: Fast and quite! Setup in a Raid 0 with ease.
Overall Review: Seem to be about 75% faster than my 300GB Sata 2 drives in raid 0.
Pros: Nice Bios interface, easy to configure and overclock with a K series CPU.
The system has been very stable so far and I can't wait to start doing some major benchmarking!
Cons: Doesn't have the optional temp sensors or as many fan speed options as I was uses to.
Only two Sata 3 ports. (but I only have 2 Sata 3 drives anyway). Support Raid 0, 5, 10 but you might have to overlap different sata port speeds which doesnt make a lot of sense. I opted for two arrays, Sata 0 on 6GBs and Sata 5 on 3GBs.
Overall Review: Coming off an Asus Striker II extreme, I really wanted the ASUS Striker model but it was over three times the price! I took a shot on this one and so far am very happy with my choice!
Pros: Quite and modular
Cons: Voltage is all over the place, causing system instability, blue screens etc. It got to the point where my system would not even power on and I would have to unplug and replug AC power 2-3 times. Finally the MB would come out of standby mode. I thought the issue was my MB but thankfully tested with another PS and that was the problem.
Overall Review: When I originally purchased I talked to support about the voltage drifting and a squeling noise. They said it was normal and if I wanted I could pay to ship it to them and wait for repair.
Hard to get ahold of support or get a response. Would not recommend any of their models!
Pros: They finally got all the bugs out of Vista!! More stable than XP and faster too! 64-Bit gives you pleanty of Ram!! If it works with Vista it will work with W7 (drivers included).
Cons: A lot of features and options where changed, moved or completely removed (like the Quicklaunch bar!). Some things can be added back with some research.
Overall Review: Overal happy with the switch, So long XP!
Pros: LCD can be used for Teamspeak info, Monitoring temps-Volts during gaming (without leaving the game) even controlling music players.
G keys can be used for programmable Macros for gaming Taunts etc.
Cons: Doesnt work with some USB KVM switches, there is a work around but it is a bit combersome and requires an extra keyboard. Still worth it for me.
Overall Review: The G keys are far left, so sometimes when you try to hit the ESC key you end up hitting the G keys. Takes a bit of getting used to and doesnt happen as often.
Pros: Perfect length, kept me from having to run cpu power across MB and video card!
Pros: It not only works with out locking up, for me I am getting 4.05ghz at 1800fsb!! It Over clocks way better than the QX9650 I am replacing!
Cons: I didnt know how much better these were than the QX9650 series before I wasted money on one!
Overall Review: Not all motherboards allow OCing fsb! I had no luck Overclocking my QX9650 at all, after reading forums how well these OC I decided to try! I couldnt believe it OCs way easier (auto voltages even!).
I emailed intel because the QX series didnt OC as good even though the multiplier was unlocked, they replied the engineers do not test any cpus (including X series) for OC abilities, they simply unlock the multiplier and charge 3x the price!
Marketing hoax, dont buy QX series save your dough!
Pros: Works perfectly.
Pros: It came free w/ cpu!
Cons: Bobble head was detached in shipping!
Overall Review: I can probably hot glue the head back on LOL. Kids like it!
Pros: Keeps ram very cool, around 30-40 max! Before it was 50+. Easy to install and adjust, quiet when using Temp control from MB. Even blows a little air on my NB heat sink!
Cons: A little big, but slidable which helps!
Overall Review: Reasonable price!
Pros: Super Quiet with Q-fan control! Super cool (10-20 Deg cooler than my last case inside and MB,HD etc. temps! Way easy to install everything, great screwless design!
I want to buy stuff to fill it up it is so easy to install stuff!
Cons: With PS on bottom of this big case 8 pin CPU power has to go straight across MB (works fine, just not Ideal). You will need extensions for case fans using MB connections (order a few with it they are cheap!).
Overall Review: Bought this case to sell my old MB, cpu after my upgrade, but liked it so much I am keeping it and selling my old Plexiglass side panel case! Quieter than my last case and cooler, especially hard drives (20 deg cooler with the fan on low speed!
If you read bad reviews here are some notes, I didnt see motherboard screws, but the mounts were included and they use standard case size screws (which I have pleanty of). Someone else said screws were inside drive bays I will look next time I have it apart.
I did have a rattle at first (it was the 5 1/4 bay filler metal) I removed them as they arent needed and the noise was gone.
If you dont use Q-fan (motherboard control) of case fans and just hook them to the 12v adapters running at 100% it will be louder! Either use auto or set fans to 40-50% manually it will be pleanty! Other than the HD fan in the front you could probably not use others its so cool! Side fan is a bit louder when reved up.
Front panel is tight but seems sturdy.
Pros: Quiet when in Q-Fan mode! Keeps CPU about 5 deg C. cooler than my Previous Zalman Cooler.
Able to OC from 3ghz to 3.6 and stay under 65 deg under full load (Prime95!)
Idles less than 30 deg.
Overall Review: May need stubby screwdriver or long screw driver to get around fins.
Pros: Voltages well withing specs even under load. Very Quiet, had to check to make sure fan was moving LOL.
Cons: Very Long, didnt fit right in my old case make sure you measure your case 1st.
Says SLI certified on New Egg, but box says SLI ready?
Not 100% modular, MB and a couple power connectors not modular. Use most of the non modular connector, But it makes it a pain when mounting PS and MB as wires are in your way. My last PS was 100% Modular which is great for installing!
Overall Review: Overall I am very happy with PS, just a few negative mentioned above.
Also since PS is longer and my new case has PS on bottom the PS fan doesnt line up 100% with the air holes on the bottom of the case (about 50% of fan showing) seems to stay cool though and fan runs slow and quiet!
Pros: Works great! Way better than pads or stock thermal compound!
Cons: None if you clean first and follow directions!
Overall Review: Use recommended cleaner and prep, coffee filters work great (no lint and they are cheap!).
Pros: Worked as promised, great price.
Pros: Fast card, replaced a single 8800GTX (I didnt want a dual cpu or sli card at this time). I run 1920 x 1200 max settings, Cod2 went from 90-120fps to 120-200fps! COD 5 went from 40-60fps to 70-120fps avg. At these resolutions and settings that's awesome!
Cons: It locked up on me 2 times first night, I think like others have said the stock OC may be too much? Lowered cpu freq to 675mhz from 698mhz and so far didnt lock up! BFG is recommending adjusting IRQ (almost impossible) and doesnt think it is the card causing the issue, but it is the only thing locking up.
Overall Review: Happy with this card, hope to resolve lock ups!
