Pretty straightforward product but has Win 10 stability issues
Pros: Plug in an available USB socket and was seen by Win 10. After deleting the native drivers and installing the CSR drivers it is solid. Product good but seems issues with Win 10 and CSR getting out of sync.
Cons: Installed provided CSR stack drivers and worked but had stability problems. Poked around and seemed other folks were having possible conflict problems with the CSR drivers and the native Win 10 Bluetooth drivers. Do the following: 1. Uninstall the CSR drivers and restart 2. Plug in the dongle and do a WIN key +X. Select device manager - Bluetooth 3. Right click on Generic Bluetooth Radio 4. Select Uninstall Device, the native MS drivers will be deleted. 5. Restart 6. Install the CSR drivers with the dongle installed 7. Restart 8. You're good to go!! (I prefer restarting after each addition/deletion to keep things clean.)
Overall Review: Product is solid. On Win 10 it looks like the native drivers and CSR got a bit out of sync and conflicted.
Pros: Great drive and have had no drive issues, so far.
Cons: NO WARRANTY?? Ther eis the 30 day return policy from Newegg but one of the attractions was the 5 year limited warranty with WD. When I entered the drive serial number at the WD website I was informaed that there is no warranty since the drive was sold to a system integrater. WHAT?? Why?? The drive was a bare drive but was not advertised as returned. WHAT IS THE DEAL???
Great performance, like having a cabled connection over wi-fi
Pros: Installation very straight forward. Solid performance improvement over my previous USB adapter, no audio lag now! Ran the Verizon speed test and the bandwidth from the router to the FIOS backbone is the same as my computer, upstairs and the other end of the house, to the router. I STRONGLY recommend that you install the latest drivers, for both the WI-fi and bluetooth, from the Intel site. A number of issues other folks had seem to be addressed in the latest driver updates.
Cons: Wish the USB cable for the Bluetooth was a bit longer. No issue for me but I could see whare it would be an issue for some installations.
Overall Review: Strongly recommend this product. Just make sure you have an open slot an an open USB 2.0 MB header if you want to use the bluetooth. Make sure you are running W10 or W11 64 bit, only OS the drivers work with.
Good plug and play network adapter
Pros: Just plug it in. The driver detects it and you are off to the races
Cons: Has an issue with being on an extension cable. Switched networks often, between N and G, and noticeable audio lag when teleconferencing. Not dinging the adapter since it works well, just something to watch for.
Overall Review: Very good product. When plugged in directly, no extension cable, it is solid.
Fantastic upgrade - Wanted to take my motherboard as far as it could go
Pros: Easy install - (Helps that I have a full tower case) Fast, real fast ----------------------------------- System ------------------------------------------------------- ASUS Prime Z390-A motherboard 64Gb G-Skill Ripjaws 5 memory Sapphire AMD 5500XT Graphics Card WD Blue NVME SSD
Overall Review: Great upgrade! With the Noctua 12S cooling it rarely gets above 65 degrees Celsius Very satisfied
Shipping got messed up, but seller made good
The order was split, one adapter was delivered from the largest e-commerce site in the US and the other one was delivered from China. The second adapter was delivered to a different city and not returned/lost. When the seller was made aware of the problem they offered to refund the single adapter price since they were out of stock. Rapid response to an issue and they made it right.
