Pros: Fast backup speeds initially - starts at 180 MB/s then eventually when filling drive drops to 110 MB/S
White Label Helium Drives
Cons: 5400 RPM drives
Overall Review: White label Helium Drives at 5400 RPM. PERFECT for backup running about 170 MB/s. I used to have Seagate External hard drives but when they went to 8TB, their reliability and speed went down. Switched over to these and never looked back. Bought several 8TB and 10TB versions for server backup which then is offsite backup.
5 Year Warranty
Better Value than Iron Wolf/Barracuda/14TB drives
Fast transfer rates
Cons: Cost - this will always be a complaint with someone!
Overall Review: Works perfectly in SuperMicro 847 case. Formatted is 12.733. Before anyone starts complaining, all manufactures state their capacity in TB meaning 14 TB = 1,000,000,000,000 bytes. So a true TB is 2^40 power. 12.733*2^40 = 14 TB. Same is for WD, Hitachi, etc.
So far, humming along just fine in Raid 10 Configuration. Used for Work System Backups off laptops so very fit for purpose.
Pros: Easy to install
Boots up machine from power on through Windows screen in 5 seconds
Cons: Larger sizes in the future would be great!
Overall Review: Thinking about buying more of these as they are such a good deal.
Pros: -Keys seem like they would be very durable
Cons: -They were on back order forever on here and other sites
-They reduce brightness significantly
-I wish I could have seen the keys sooner as the W looked great. The font is horrible for Home key, etc. In fact, they have three letter abbreviations
-Not easy to type (granted I only replace a handful of keys, but weird feel to these
Overall Review: Newegg site is having issues, but I will certainly return these (good I purchased Premier). When my Gigabyte mechanical keyboard dies, I will simply replace the keys on my Corsar K70 with those from the Osium keyboard. The ONLY complaint with the K70 is they have on dual keys the dual item on the bottom, so hard to see in the dark which is why I wanted replacement keys.
Pros: Large amount of Space
VERY FAST transfer rates
Works in NAS with no issues
Lower Power than drives they replaced
Overall Review: Using in a NAS that replaced 12 - 4 TB hard drives - been running so far for one month with no issues.
Pros: These are superfast with decent RAID rebuild times. I have these set up in RAID 10 with no issues and performance is outstanding. Drives are also very quiet.
Cons: Price - can never be cheap enough :)
Overall Review: From a performance perspective, outshines WD gold drives - however the WD gold drives give you a five year warranty and these are only 3 year unless you go pro
Pros: Great sound initially
Loved the vibrations
Cons: 2 of 3 already failed with increasing static in ears
Filled out warranty requests and have NEVER heard a peep from them
Overall Review: If the quality was there and they responded to service claims, they would be 5 star. Based upon support and short duration, do NOT buy at this time.
Pros: 16 Ports on this card!
Easy to install and setup
Beats onboard RAID
Bought 3 of these
Cons: MaxView software can certainly be improved - but I can work with the card without ever touching this software!
Overall Review: Got sick and tired of the Intel on board RAID always getting corrupted and having to go through a royal pain process to attempt to recover. On board is not true RAID unlike these cards which do support true RAID. While you do not get RAID level 5 or 6, the RAID levels provided should be more than sufficient for many. Love the support right off the bat for 16 drives. Will no longer buy motherboards with tons of ports - just buy this card instead!
Add on a 40 MM fan to keep the card at around 40C
