Great little drive10/14/2013 12:44:38 PM

Pros: Easy installation, fast drive

Cons: None

Overall Review: I installed this with a "regular" 7200 RPM SATA drive for my main storage. This was originally intended primarily for the OS. Ended up installing the OS, a couple games and dowloading several movies on it. Works like a charm.

Excellent Cable10/5/2012 7:49:55 AM

Pros: Heavy gauge, durable cable. Great signal quality.

Cons: None

Overall Review: This is a huge cord (I'd say it's close to 1/2"), but very tough. We had to drag it up a conduit and across the attic to a ceiling mount projector. Signal is strong and crisp, no detectable signal loss and the cable attaches firmly and stably to the back of the projector.

Great mount for the price10/5/2012 7:42:07 AM

Pros: Projector (ViewSonic 8200 Pro) installed without a hitch with included screws. Went into the ceiling with no problems. Plenty of room for cords and very stable once up.

Cons: None

Overall Review: I've installed a ton of ceiling fans in my day and compared to that, the installation of the mount and projector was cake. Went up without a hitch, aiming was easy, final position is secure. We were able to run all necessary cables and connectors through the neck of the mount with no problem. Installation is secure and looks very clean.

Great Case!10/5/2012 7:37:04 AM

Pros: Plenty of room. USB 3.0. Easy connections. Well ventilated.

Cons: None

Overall Review: We were able to get a full size PS, micro ATX MB, DVD player, internal HDD and a SSD without having to cram or twist or finagle any components. Recently added a second video card for Radeon Dual Graphics. Still have room for a third party sound card if disired. Slick design, looks like a stereo component. We have it in the rack with our other black stereo gear and no one immediately suspects it's a pc. Great little case.

Great within limits10/5/2012 7:30:59 AM

Pros: Easy to install and set up, included software is easy to configure.

Cons: Can't use it with Windows Media Center, have to install as Video Capture rather than TV Tuner.

Overall Review: We connected this to our cable box and use the box to change channels. It works great but the tuner has to be installed as a video capture device instead of installing it as a "TV Tuner". This means we have to use the isntalled software instead of WMC, but the included software works fine and is easy to configure. Doesn't leave a lot of options and can only digitally record the channel you're on, i.e., one channel at a time.

Stable but underpowered10/5/2012 7:23:39 AM

Pros: Easy installation, small form factor, stable platform once set up, very quiet, 8 channel audio.

Cons: Included driver disk, processor power, ability to stream media.

Overall Review: The board was physically easy to install but the provided drivers caused BSOD. Downloaded updated drivers from the internet and final installation was smooth from there. We purchased this to be a HTPC based on a recommendation that said it could easily handle 1080p streaming media. While it will stream TV through a third party tuner, it will NOT stream Hulu smoothly at all, even at 288p. Hulu recommends a 2.0 GHz dual core and this one is only 1.6...so I guess Hulu knows what they're talking about. Bottom line, if you want a quiet HTPC to watch DVDs and stream digitial television, this is a nice little board. If you want to stream online media, get something with a little more horsepower in the CPU.

Great Purchase10/5/2012 7:13:17 AM

Pros: Crisp, sharp, highs and mid-range, adjustable bass. Easy to set up, great Dolby 5.1 sound.

Cons: Left front speaker has a serial connection which limits the distance you can spread the speaker out. Not as easy to get an extender as the other RCA type plugs.

Overall Review: Best speakers we could find under $300. Enjoying the sound with DVDs, music CDs, old LPs (through Aux hookup on the spaker system), streaming media and digital television. Great purchase!

Pros: Easy to read frequency dial, 2 channel presets

Cons: Frequency range, short power cord, slow manual frequency cycling, static, no power options other than 12V connector

Overall Review: Only goes as low as 88.1 MHz which makes it very difficult to find a clear channel in an urban area. Our satellite radios always workd best in the 87.5-87.9 range where there is the least interference. Must be mounted within 2" of the radio to avoid static, though even then static is frequent. Mounting is complicated in a mini-van whose 12V connector is well below the radio due to the fairly short power cord. In a car with only the cigarette lighter available you can't play your MP3/Smart Phone through the transmitter and charge it at the same time since there is no battery option.
