Nice board with a couple complaints

GIGABYTE G1.Sniper Z97 (rev. 1.x) LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
GIGABYTE G1.Sniper Z97 (rev. 1.x) LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: This was a very easy motherboard to set up which is the feature I liked the best. I installed the CPU and fan, memory, video card, dvd drive, and installed all the cables and PSU. I turned it on and it was ready to go through the setup. It rebooted after than and I was on my way to installing Windows. This is my first build with an Intel CPU and was very happy that it went so quick. I didn't even install anything from the CD that came with the board until a few days later since it really isn't needed for overclocking. Bios updates were really easy to install using the included "apps" and I've updated the bios twice since I received it since the program said F4 was the newest version but checking online showed that F6 was the newest version. I won't go through all the features that make this a great motherboard since you can read them in the product description and it does have all the feature most gamers are looking for.

Cons: My only gripe with this thing is the EasyTune "app" that's included on the CD. My previous motherboard had an auto-overclock feature that would run through a bunch of iterations until it found a stable setup and that was it. This software has only two setting that I can choose from: Default and Energy Saving. The rest of the choices are all grayed out. The manual says that any choices not available on the motherboard will be grayed out. So...is the motherboard unable to overclock? No. I can go into advanced and hand tune this to my hearts desire so I'm just not sure what the problem is. I did go online and download all the newer versions of the software but nothing changed. My computer is overclocked and I'm really happy with the board but I just don't understand if I'm doing something wrong. ...I guess another small gripe is that, to me, the setup features are really confusing and some translation seem a little wrong. Ok, one more complaint...the integrated network card seems really slow compared to my old build. I can only get 1.5MB/sec on Steam downloads and I could get 3+MB/sec on the older motherboards network card.

Overall Review: This is my first Intel build. I've built 5 or so previous gaming computers but I've always been an AMD/ATI fanboy. I've always been told that Intel will blow away everything AMD but I'm not really seeing a big difference. This is a nice motherboard and even though I have a few complaints I'm glad I got it and will do a lot more testing and pushing it's limits in the future.

It's not too great

Rosewill RTK-045M 45-Piece Magnetic Computer Tool Kit
Rosewill RTK-045M 45-Piece Magnetic Computer Tool Kit

Pros: Lots of fairly useful tools in a handy case.

Cons: Every tool is the cheapest version they could find. Screwdriver tip actually rounded off when I tried to loosen a tight screw. Some of the tools are for looks only as they will not do anything.

Overall Review: Go to Sears or wherever you can find that sells tools. Buy the smallest toolbox they sell. Pick up a couple screwdrivers and nut drivers. Buy a wire stripper, cutter and maybe a magnet. You now have a kit that's 1000 times better.

Great fans and really nice RGB lighting.

DeepCool FC120 3IN1 Performance 120mm ARGB LED PWM Fan, Daisy-Chain Interconnect Cable, Black, Triple Pack

Pros: Nice fans, great price, and I like the easy way I can daisy chain these together. They work with my Gigabyte motherboard and software, and come with a nice variety of cable options for power.

Cons: No cons on these so far.

Overall Review: I would recommend these fans for a new build. Quality fans, great price, easy installation.

The RM1000x is a nice power supply but...

CORSAIR RMx Shift Series RM1000x Shift Fully Modular 80PLUS Gold ATX Power Supply
CORSAIR RMx Shift Series RM1000x Shift Fully Modular 80PLUS Gold ATX Power Supply

Pros: When you review a power supply there really never is a lot to say. It didn't catch on fire and the power outputs were spot on. I like the fact that the fan only comes on during load and, as of yet, I haven't had the fan come on except at initial startup so that's a good thing. I really like Corsair products, and this is not an exception. If you're looking for a high quality PSU, then this is the one to get.

Cons: My biggest con on this PSU is also the thing they market at being innovative. The location of the modular connection panel has switched from the back of the unit to the side. I was excited to see this and thought it would make cable management easier but instead made it impossible within my case. As you can see from the pictures, the cables are now exiting the PSU on the door side. I tried flipping the PSU but then the fan would be blowing into a solid metal panel and the cables would have the same problem. If the cables would've been a few centimeters longer is would have been perfect.

Overall Review: Overll, I'd recommend this power supply. Quality build, spot on outputs, and a good brand. My cons may be mute if you have the right case for this power supply. Check the layout prior to purchasing this power supply to avoid any build issues.

It's okay but could be better.

Philips Norelco Multigroom Series 3000 All-In-One 13-Piece Trimmer, MG3750/60
Philips Norelco Multigroom Series 3000 All-In-One 13-Piece Trimmer, MG3750/60

Pros: This is a fairly powerful trimmer for a very reasonable price and comes with a ton of attachments including one stubble guard, 3 beard guards, and 3 hair guards. Also comes with a brush, ear/nose hair trimmer, and a smaller width trimmer for cutting in small spaces, I guess. There's a pouch included to hold all these extras as well as the charger. Overall quality is great for a super cheap price.

Cons: There are a lot of cons that just bug me and have for all Philips/Norelco products. First and foremost, why can't Philips come up with a standardized plug for their products? I have a drawer full of cords for all the other trimmers and shavers I've purchased from Philips and every device uses a different connection, so I spend 10 minutes looking for the right one. Second, this is a nice product even with the different plug issue but definitely not on par with the Wahl trimmer as the marketing people seem to suggest on the packaging. Third, I have an older version of this trimmer shown on the right in the picture I added. This one included a couple adjustable guards that slip on the trimmer, and you just adjust the guard to the guard number needed and you're ready to go. This is a much better setup than fumbling through a bag full of guards trying to find the correct one.

Overall Review: Even with the faults, I would recommend this trimmer to someone who needs one but doesn't want to spend a ton of money. The price is below the impulse buy threshold and seems to be a good quality. Don't fall for the marketing hype on the package and accept the trimmer for what it is.

Nice fit and quality

Meta Quest 2 Fit Pack with Two Alternate-Width Facial Interfaces and Light Blockers - VR
Meta Quest 2 Fit Pack with Two Alternate-Width Facial Interfaces and Light Blockers - VR

Pros: These give a lot of options for people who want the perfect fit while wearing their Quest2 and are top quality.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Overall Review: Costly but quality costs a bit more and I'm happy I picked these up.
