Most Favorable Review

It has been a reliable drive

Mushkin Enhanced Atlas Series 120GB Mini-SATA (mSATA) MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MKNSSDAT120GB-DX
Mushkin Enhanced Atlas Series 120GB Mini-SATA (mSATA) MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MKNSSDAT120GB-DX

Pros: Good price at the time I bought it. That was 2/12/2014. Installed in an Acer v3-772G. This is it's current state as of this drive after 18 months. Model : MKNSSDAT120GB-DX Firmware : 507ABBF0 Disk Size : 120.0 GB (8.4/120.0/120.0/120.0) Queue Depth : 32 # of Sectors : 234441648 Transfer Mode : SATA/600 | SATA/600 Power On Hours : 8679 hours Power On Count : 1559 count Host Reads : 66990 GB Host Writes to controller : 11316 GB Controller writes to NAND: 29123 GB Temperature : 72 C (161 F) Health Status : Good (96 %) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- CrystalDiskMark 3.0.4 x64 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- * MB/s = 1,000,000 byte/s Sequential Read : 433.296 MB/s Sequential Write : 151.572 MB/s Random Read 512KB : 364.768 MB/s Random Write 512KB : 129.582 MB/s Random Read 4KB (QD=1) : 22.005 MB/s [ 5372.3 IOPS] Random Write 4KB (QD=1) : 67.623 MB/s [ 16509.6 IOPS] Random Read 4KB (QD=32) : 122.350 MB/s [ 29870.7 IOPS] Random Write 4KB (QD=32) : 137.288 MB/s [ 33517.5 IOPS] Test : 500 MB [H: 76.4% (85.2/111.4 GB)] (x2) Date : 2015/08/31 16:27:42 OS : Windows 10 [10.0 Build 10240] (x64)

Cons: It does get hot. Has not seemed to effect it. but should have a heat sink. Half egg off. Also it is not the fastest thing out there. If coming from a spinning drive it is fast and will make most happy. If you looking for top performance this is not your drive. Half egg off.

Overall Review: I see a lot of reviews about shot life. Would I trust this drive? I trust this drive as mush as any drive I have owned. I don't trust any of them. **************BACKUP OFTEN !!!!!!! ***************

I Love this thing

Zalman ZM-VE300-B Aluminum Alloy, Acryl, Poly Carbonate 2.5" Black SATA I/II USB 3.0 ZM-VE300 HDD External Enclosure with Virtualization and One Touch Back-up
Zalman ZM-VE300-B Aluminum Alloy, Acryl, Poly Carbonate 2.5" Black SATA I/II USB 3.0 ZM-VE300 HDD External Enclosure with Virtualization and One Touch Back-up

Pros: Fast.: With and old WDC WD2500BEVT I am getting 120 MB/s reads and 105 MB/s writes with large files. Will report back if I get an SSD to test. The Price is fair for all it does. Cost me $50.99. Note bad. It is now $10 cheaper, witch make it very fair. Live drive info is nice. Temp and S.M.A.R.T. health status. Dive operates at the same temp as the drives in my notebook around 86F 30C. Flexable: There are some my thing you can do with this enclosure. The description really does not cover what it can do. Besides being able to mount ISO file for CD/DVD/BR, it also (with included software) create virtual hard drives in .DSK format and Floppy disk images in .IMA format. This come in handy for to be able to run utilities on untrusted machines. Just boot form a Live Linux ISO and virtual HDD mounted. Your data on the physical drive is save.

Cons: While the build quality seem good, I can see problems later with USB connector. It has been reported many times. I can't say this is the fault of Zalman. This seem to be problem with the USB 3.0 connector in general. All I can say is keep this in mind. Don't let the unit hang from the back of your tower. When using the controls try to do so without picking it up.

Overall Review: Only thing it can not do is act as CD/DVD/BR burner. That Would be nice when creating Recovery disc for a new system or boot media form utilities like Paragon and Arconis.

Very flexible

TP-Link TL-POE200 Power over Ethernet Adapter Kit
TP-Link TL-POE200 Power over Ethernet Adapter Kit

Pros: I am very happy with this. The price was great. Got mine for $29. See it is now $36. would say it is still a good deal. Seems to preforms very well. 3 voltage selections make it very flexible. Seen other comment about the power pig-tail being a strange size. I have not found this to be the case. It was the right barrel connector the 2 routers I have used it with. One being a Rosewill RNX-GX4 running @ 9V. The other the ALFA R36 running @ 12v.

Cons: Really don't have any at this time.

Overall Review: Have not gone over 75 FT yet so can not verify the 328 FT limit. The injector and the slitter seem like they may get warm. I am not saying that this a problem. It is just something I will keep an eye on it this summer when it may get installed in outdoor enclose. As I use it under different condition will try to come back and update review.
