Perfect
Pros: Amazing response time good color high refresh rate curved display good price
Cons: cheap speakers
Overall Review: I started gaming on a 55"tv but decided i wanted to try a legit monitor to take the most advantage of my 2070super. i can honestly say it was the biggest improvement to my experience. i'm making shots i always missed. taking shots and making them while jumping and aiming which i could never do before. it's really the response time that makes a difference. my tv response time was like 40ms. this is 1ms. it's improved my experience especially with fps games. and 1080p still looks great. the curve makes games more immersive. like you;re in the middle of the game. as long as it last's a long time it's probably my favorite part of my rig.
Best Value 2070super
Pros: great performance good price easy OC
Cons: slight noise at idle
Overall Review: I was a little worried bc the clock speed listed was lower than expected but afterburner shows the clock speed as expected. you can add 140 to the core and 900 to the memory no problem the highest temp ive seen with a custom curve is 65c. considering there was a discount of 50 at checkout and it was 500 to begin with i can't see getting a card for any cheaper. especially a three fan card. no rgb which i like but some might not. so far has been great everything plays 1440 ultra at 60 plus an some games will play 4k 60 plus. i game on a 55inch 4ktv so all i want is 60fps so this card is perfect for me.
not for hot areas without cooling solution
Pros: tremendous space fast write speeds wd reliability
Cons: gets hot(over 50C) in warm areas
Overall Review: What can i say it's a huge drive enough to hold all my video files for my plex server with room to grow. it's not exactly the sweet spot on the price per tb scale but it's a fair price and the extra space is nice. i've always had good luck with wd drives so i'm sure it will last. my only issue is that it gets hot. and not under heavy load either. granted the room temperature at the time of it overheating was close to 90 farenheit but all my other drives were sitting around 40-45 at the time. i ordered a usb fan to sit underneath the drive and i assume that will keep it cool. just a warning to anyone else keeping this in areas where then ambient temp is above 85 it will get past 50 and anything above 50 will hurt the life of the drive. considering at it's hottest it got to 54C i assume the fan will do it's job and i'm also assuming that's just the nature of such large capacity drives. just a heads up to anyone else getting this drive who doesn't have good ac in hot areas you WILL need some sort of cooling solution or your drive isn't going to last very long.
4 1/2 stars
Pros: ryzen compatible. samsung chip set decent price
Cons: xmp profile required tweaking to work properly
Overall Review: I had to change the voltage manually to get it to post at the 3200 speed. i'm not sure if it was an issue with my mobo or the ram but I'm still taking half a point off. Also i uprgraded from 2666 and it wasn't much of a difference. like one to 3 fps. i can't blame corsair for that. just a heads up to anyone else looking to make a similar upgrade. overall it's quality ram and it works fine with my ryzen 2700 so i'm happy. i'm gonna try and oc the memory a little more just to see if i can get any more out of it.
Smooth Sailing
Pros: Two m.2 supports ryzen 7 2700 4 dimm slots great price
Cons: wouldn't light up my wraith spire cooler took a little effort to get 3200 ram running at full speed
Overall Review: This was my first pc build so i'm no expert but i can assume from my experiences that i choose a good board. I had no problems getting it to post. No compatability issues with any of my other hardware. it was as simple as assembling the pc and turning it on. The only issues i had were that i had to adjust the voltage manually to get my ram to run at 3200. might be the ram but i'm not sure. also this doesn't matter to me but the wraith spire cooler didn't light up properly. i did attach the led header properly but still i couldn't adjust anything it was just a solid red. i don't care about led but some people do so i ffigured i'd give it a mention. i just hope when gen 4 comes out they update the bios to support it because i might want to upgrade if my 2700 doesn't keep up with next gen games. but overall i'm very happy. i would recommend and buy again.
Great Value
Pros: Good price Looks great Wonderful airflow
Cons: Front cover hard to remove
Overall Review: You can't do much better at the price point IMO. This was my first PC build and I wanted something that was compatible with alot of components. What i like is it can tak anything from micro atx to e atx. plenty of options in the future. Everything installed nicely and it looks fantastic. i will admit some of the metal could be thicker but it's plenty thick where it matters (that's what she said). If you're looking for something with great price to quality this can't be beat. Plus it's got a nice white aesthetic with the added airflow benefit of mesh. I love it.
