Pros: Looks great, refresh rate makes everything buttery smooth
Cons: The stand isn't very stable. Even the slightest shake of the desk makes the monitor shake. I'll probably just get a wall mount for it.
Overall Review: The monitor itself is great, hopefully you have a very stable desk though.
Pros: After using cheap mice for most of my life, upgrading to the Cyborg R.A.T. 5 has made me never want to use a cheap mouse again. I love the feel and all of the customizable features. Also it's really smooth moving around, you don't really even need a mouse pad. Drivers are easy to install and the software is great.
Cons: The mouse is great, but when I showed it off to my roommate, I was instantly let down when he showed me all the features that come with his Cyborg R.A.T. 7. It really made me wish I had bought the better model, alas the R.A.T. 5 should work just fine for me.
Pros: Worked the first time I tried booting it up, which is something I can't say about the Gigabyte board I originally bought for my setup. Honestly, it was just a relief that I finally found a working motherboard. The UEFI Bios is really easy to use as well. Great quality board though, I've never been disappointed with an Asus product.
Cons: No onboard USB 3.0 header. Also only has normal audio jacks (would've liked to have the surround sound jacks, but I guess I can live without them). One issue we did have on installation was the placement of the screw holes. It was really hard to get them to line up and the board doesn't have the third row of screw holes on the right side/isn't big enough to reach that far in an ATX case. That said, it was really nerve racking trying to push down with enough force to plug in the 24 pin connector while trying to keep from cracking the board because of the massive overhang where there is nothing under the board to give it support.
Pros: It looks pretty cool and has an on-board USB 3.0 header. Also has HD audio jacks and plenty of USB 2.0 ports on the back.
Cons: It would not turn on. At all. Would not go through POST. We spent hours trying to figure out the problem, trying it with multiple PSU's and cases, checked and rechecked wiring etc. Sent it back for a replacement and the replacement didn't work either. After emailing Gigabyte tech support, they sent me a couple of suggestions which I tried but those didn't work either. I emailed them back, but there were no further responses on their end. Not that it mattered much anyway, I got a refund and bought an Asus board for slightly cheaper and it worked on the first try!
Overall Review: I actually didn't buy the motherboard through Newegg, I bought it through another online retailer which will remain nameless since apparently Newegg won't let me use their name in this review haha. Still should have gone with Asus in the first place.
Pros: Extremely comfortable to use, key illumination is great. The software was really easy to use as well.
Cons: The "Roccat Talk" feature is only usable if you own both the keyboard AND a Roccat mouse. I would love to use that feature with my Cyborg R.A.T. 5. Also note that the device software was not included in the package, you have to download it from Roccat's website and for some reason, all the driver info on the site was in some Northern European language, even after I switched it to English at the top.
Pros: Ripping cds to my itunes used to take forever on my laptop. This product blows my laptop disc drive out of the water, it takes less than a minute to rip a cd.
Overall Review: I haven't tried burning any discs yet, but so far I've been pretty impressed. Asus knows how to make quality products.
