BUY THIS RAM
Pros: Extremely fast low profile memory. Exactly what you'd expect from Corsair. Best ram on the market as far as I am concerned.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: -- CPU: Intel 2500k @ 4.63GHz (1.376V max) HS: CoolerMaster Hyper 212+ EVO w/dual fans MOBO: Asus P8Z68-V Pro/Gen3 GPU: EVGA 560ti Superclocked RAM: 8GB Corsair XMS3 1600MHz PS: Corsair TX750 SSD: 90GB Corsair Force 3 SSD HD: 1TB Western Digital Caviar Blue CASE: Corsair 650d
Solid card with low power requirements, but runs fairly hot.
Pros: 1) Factory overclocked to 1875 MHz vs reference 1680 MHz (11.6% OC) 2) Requires only one PCIe 6+2 power connector 3) Hardly audible at full fan speeds and no coil whine or any other noises. 4) Simple design aesthetic - if you're into that. There are no LEDs on the card.
Cons: Only one - The card's normal operating temperature under full load hovers around 78-79 degrees Celsius in my case with adequate cooling. I've read other findings that these cards have gotten up to 83-84 degrees (throttling begins at 83 degrees if the power limit is at the reference level). The reference cards have a full load operating temperature of 72 degrees, so while 79 seems pretty high in comparison, I think that mostly has to do with the 195 MHz factory overclock. Also, the user getting temps in the low 80s had poor case cooling/ventilation. TL;DR - This card runs hot, most likely due to the factory OC. Not hot enough to warrant major concern, but if low thermals if your end all be all then perhaps look for a card with a better cooling solution. This is the only reason I am giving this card 4 Eggs in lieu of 5.
Overall Review: The backplate is plastic and not metal. I do not mind; however, in the description it is stated that this backplate is metal but I can assure you it is plastic.
Go i5 not i7
Pros: Extremely fast. Overclocking is phenomenal. The i7 is a waste of money in my opinion.
Cons: none.

Solid Purchase
Pros: USB 3.0 Header UEFI
Cons: none so far.
Overall Review: Traditionally I like Gigabyte but ASUS has UEFI locked down right now so...
Works great in 2007 Macbook Pro (non-unibody)
Pros: Upgraded 2gb to 4gb. Now I have 2.5gb of ram free in Activity Monitor when I use photoshop cs5 (64bit finally!) instead of 0gb. : ) : )
Cons: none.
Macbook Pro 2.4 (non-unibody)
Pros: Quiet (5400rpm). Fast (32mb cache). Affordable (@$65). Went in my 2007 Macbook Pro without a hitch. Western Digital drives are quite reliable.
Cons: it isn't solid-state?
