Pros: The performance is not bad at all, for a budget card
Cons: The include ASUS STRIX software is not good. If you want to save a profile, good luck. Nothing seems to save, and if it does, it's not what you set anything at. The fans have a quiet feature which makes your card very hot. You can turn this feature off, but, as soon as you restart your computer, you'll have to do it again. Saving a custom profile with custom fan settings is nearly impossible.
Overall Review: For the performance, the card is worth it. The software has a lot to be desired. If you feel like always having to mess with the software to get things right, buy this card.
Pros: It cools very well for the price on an old AMD 125 watt cpu. It surprised me enough to recommend it to a friend on a budget gaming build.
Overall Review: I would certainly purchase this cooler again. The price to performance ratio (bang for buck) is outstanding!
Pros: Stays very cool with aftermarket air cooler. Surprisingly fast for what it is, at gaming and multitasking.
Overall Review: Paired with a good video card, you can have a cheap and fast 1080p gaming rig.
Pros: Keeps max temps down below 50* with an AMD 8350
Cons: Difficult to mount the radiator portion to the case. For any type of cooling efficiency, it must pull air in from the outside of the case. Does not come with extra screws for mounting a second fan on the radiator which is almost needed. For it to work well at cooling, the fans need to be at 100%. This presents too much noise, considering a 212 evo can cool almost as well and much more quietly.
Overall Review: I would not buy this again. It was fun to experiment with, but, when I turn on my computer, I shouldn't have to hear my cpu cooling fans at high rpm's, just to get the same cooling as my CNPS 10 Performa with an extra fan. Yes, it is seated correctly on my cpu (I checked 3 times, applying new AS paste each time). Yes, the water pump is functioning.
Pros: Uniform size and color. Can't ask for much more than that.
Pros: I have a 2 year old I5 laptop that was starting to experience long load times and generally sluggish performance. It uses HD 4000 integrated on-chip graphics. My Windows Experience core for gaming and Aero was 3.6 and 3.5, respectively. After installing this set of RAM my score went up to 6.5 and there is an enormous boost in general performance. I thought I might get a little boost in performance, but, this is fantastic!
Cons: none, zero, nada!
Overall Review: G.Skill will not let you down! I've never purchased a bad chip from them and I don't think I ever will.
Pros: Very Bright! They last all night if the day was sunny.
Cons: They only problem I have with these are that the ground spike they mount on a very brittle. I started putting these in the ground the day after it rained (soft ground) and still broke 3 of the 6 ground spike mounts.
Overall Review: Even thought the mount spikes broke, it's not hard to find a piece of wood or even a stick to use as a mount for these. The solar light is the reason that they still get 4 stars. They are bright and last all night (even in the winter) with a full charge.
Pros: There is an extremely high amount of space in this case. Cleaning up your wires is probably the easiest thing to do inside this one. There's plenty of room on the backside of the motherboard tray to hide/store wires. If you no longer use HDD's and only use SSD's, there is a very discrete and dedicated mounting tray behind the optical drive tray which will free up even more space when the HDD trays are removed. Filters for the fans are of quality. The fans themselves are quiet enough not to be an annoyance (no vibrations or unwanted noises).
Cons: The only con I could have about this case is the lack of fans on the side panel. Why put vents on the side and not put a fan capability?!
Overall Review: Overall, this is a great case, minus the side fan problem. Plenty of space to do whatever you want inside. Space up top for a 240 x 120 water cooler. Space for as much or as little storage as you want. I came from a HAF922 to this and I was surprised by the extra room. Once again, the absence of the side fan may annoy some people.
Pros: I've ran it non-stop for a month with no problems at all. No noise increase or noticeable wear with the month of usage. It's been quiet since I plugged it in and started it and even in the turbo fan mode, it's not loud. It pulls a massive amount, maybe even more than it's rating, of moisture out of the air. It was also in the "top 10 best dehumidifiers" consumer reports article. AMERICAN MADE.
Cons: none, whatsoever
Overall Review: I had originally purchased one from the big blue home improvement store. BIG MISTAKE. Then, I went to the orange store. ANOTHER MISTAKE. Each of those units were loud and could barely pull moisture out of the air. This unit is much more quiet and is above and beyond efficient at pulling moisture out of the air. Know that it was rated one of the top ten on consumer reports AND it's American made put the icing on the cake.
Pros: Easy driver installation. Fast connection to numerous wireless AP's. Dual Band accessibility for those of us that have Wireless AC routers and AP's.
Cons: Dual band does NOT mean that it's faster, as it's still a Wireless N (300) adapter. The clip that comes with it requires you to use a 3M glue strip to mount it (wuh?). It's at least twice as big as the other Wireless N adapters on the market and it's cost is somewhat reflective of that.
Overall Review: Overall, I haven't had any major issues with this adapter. I had to realize that, even though it's dual-band, it is not an AC adapter. Wireless N is fast for most things you do on the internet, but home network file sharing will still be handicapped by Wireless N (300) and you won't get the desired speeds that you would want to get out of it with the dual-band nomenclature. IT IS ONLY WIRELESS N. That's the skinny. Dual-band is nice, but not at this price for the speed it gives you.
Pros: Great sound out of these. I was shocked a the low and high frequency response. Crisp highs and rumbling lows. The USB cord is long enough to reach a computer across a room. USB 3.0 compatible. In-line volume and mic mute control. Dolby 7.1 actually had me look over my shoulder several times when playing a game because I heard something behind me. Comfortable to wear after 2 hours of gaming. Excellent response from friends while chatting on the mic.
Cons: Volume control is wacky. The lowest setting is still loud, even when in Dolby 7.1. They are comfortable to wear for long periods, but, they are ear insulators and WILL make your head sweat around them.
Overall Review: Overall, they are a good set of phones to use for gaming and in-game chat. I don't think they are worth $99 at the current time, due mainly to the fact that hearing loss may occur, even at the lowest volume setting.
Pros: This bulb surprised me with the brightness it has. I have a pendulum light in my hallway and it actually throws as much light as 60w equivalent compact fluorescent. This is because the light is more directional with this LED bulb. 9 year rated at 4 hours?! That's pretty good!
Cons: The bulb doesn't have the warm color that incandescent or lower temperature CFL bulbs have. It has a light blue hue to it that will not match most of the bulbs you already have.
Overall Review: The life expectancy and power savings is enough for me to recommend it. Just look for a bulb that is a lower temperature color.
Pros: The look is refined and has a small footprint. EASILY set up as an access point. Easy to navigate through the simplified or advanced menus. Great range on 802.11N and 802.11AC. No bright lights on it that get annoying. Coolest operating AC router that I've come across.
Cons: NO gigabit LAN! How is the WiFi 8 times faster than a wired connection? Occasional drop of connection when testing within ten feet of the router(?), Not the fastest AC connection available on the market
Overall Review: Overall, I'm more satisfied with this router than with others that I've used and tested. I may not be gigabit LAN or the fastest 802.11AC connection, but it's still faster than most people could use. I also like that you don't have to jump through hoops to change the setting to what you want. Everything is right there in plain sight and most settings can be set by the router with a click of the button. I'm impressed with the operation and overall usefulness of a router that beginners AND advanced users can use the full potential of and not have to reset the router if a minor, insignificant mistake is made.
Pros: It has fast connection speeds using dual-band technology. Very quick file transfer over a hone network using AC routers.
Cons: No external antenna. This little thing gets quite warm and has me thinking that it'll die prematurely.
Overall Review: Overall, the tech is still young and needs a good bit of maturing and refinement. It is fast, and to this point, reliable. Just not sure how the heat will effect the lifespan of it.
Pros: I was reluctant at first about the speed and quality of connection on an AC router because of how new the tech is. My mind was put at ease because of the easy setup and the fantastic range and quality of connection. This is the fastest router I've ever used! Also, it's has a very unique shape.
Cons: The fact that it actually has 2 SSID's instead of one threw me off, at first, but that's where "dual-band" comes in to play. There are no antennas that can be changed out.
Overall Review: Overall, the tech in this and others like is is still young and needs to mature, but, I find it to be great in transferring files between computers using wireless or wired connections. Hopefully, it'll last for a while.
Pros: I was expecting average connection and speeds with this adapter. Boy, was I wrong! I tested it 300 feet away from my access point and still had great speeds. Also, the footprint it has is very small and can be directly mounted to the back or side of your computer or hidden anywhere with the supplied USB extension cord. Easy and clear instructions made it a quick installation. Using the Dual-band N, it is a good bit quicker than some of the older Ethernet WIRED connections (100mbps). I'm shocked!
Cons: Time will tell me if the rigorous gaming I do will take it's toll on this device. So far, I haven't had one glitch
Overall Review: Every so often, I get surprised by a product that I wasn't expecting much from. This is one of them. In fact, I have uninstalled my PCI WIFI card and I'm solely using this, now. It makes it easier to transport my PC to LAN parties when you know that you're not going to snap an antenna off in the process.
Pros: Fairly easy to follow instructions. I was able to connect to the Jak within 15 to 20 seconds after plugging it into my TV. Being able to stream pictures, video and music to your TV or other USB enabled device is over this little USB dongle is a fantastic concept. When I first connected to it, I had an immediate notification that there was a firmware upgrade available and recommended. Nice to know that the Jak is actively supported.
Cons: In reality, the files that you want to stream are done so extremely slowly. It didn't matter if I connected to the Jak directly with my phone or had the Jak connect to my wireless router. The slow results were the same. I was able to view pictures, but when it came to music on my phone (only 100 songs) or video (2-1 minute clips), I was unable to get anything to happen.
Overall Review: I'm hoping that future updates to the App or to the Jak will make all of the features more streamlined and the transfer speeds will improve. Overall, I like the concept, but, there should have been more work done to smooth the "rough edges" of the software and general usability.
Pros: This fan will more than likely be one of the quietest fans in your case. No weird noises or vibrations have been noticed after running it for a month at full speed. Also, it's a PWM fan and that does help with controlling the fan in a case (HTPC specifically)
Cons: As others have said, it's not the best with moving a lot of air. Don't get me wrong, it moves air well and when tested on an old dirty heat sinc, it actually seemed to move more air through it than a 60 cfm fan could. I also wish that they would have added a while and a black ring. White for UV, black for sleeker look.
Overall Review: Overall, the quality of the fan is great. Their isn't much that Corsair doesn't do well. Just need a version 2.0 with more ring colors.
Pros: I'm actually shocked at the performance of this wireless router as the signal strength was quite good. With the proper placement, I was able to get a usable signal at 300 feet away. Very easy to set up. You can set this wireless router up as a wireless extension on your existing network (bonus).
Cons: No third party software support. If you want an inexpensive router that you can tweak every option, this is not it. The browser-based UI is not set up very well and it'll take you in circles at points.
Overall Review: Overall, if you need a wireless router as a backup or as an extension to your existing network, this one seems to be an inexpensive, quality addition. I tried the wireless extension settings, using this as it's own controller, and as an LAN hub. I had no issues on any of these, once I found the correct settings in the less-than-obvious browser-based UI.
Pros: Plug in your Ethernet cord from your router and computer(s) and plug in the power adapter. It's that simple to install and run anything on it. I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of installation and the excellent speed through it. It's also small and won't use up your precious desktop space.
Cons: The only thing I could come up with is that it's not gigabit Ethernet. This shouldn't really be a problem in a small office or at home (unless you have faster than 100 Mbps internet).
Overall Review: This is a great product if you need to split your internet between several computers in one area and already have a modem/router combination in use. Yeah, you could buy another router to do this, but, you'd spend twice as much money for it. One ethernet line into my office and I have all of my computers in my office connected (server, 3 desktops, 3 short ethernet cords) and running well.
Pros: Extremely fast on data backup. Small, compact size makes it nice to take with you anywhere. There are no extra wires for stand-alone power which makes it even more portable. This external drive has restored my faith in Seagate.
Cons: The only con I have is that the USB cord is kind of short
Overall Review: Actual test results using HDtune are as follows:
Transfer rate: Minimum-50.1MB/sec, Maximum-108.7 MB/sec, Average-85.3
Access Time:17.0 ms
Burst Rate: 120.9 MB/sec
Compared to USB 2.0, this thing is screaming. If you want a drive to back up music, pictures and documents and have USB 3.0, this is the drive I would pick time and again.
Pros: Cheap, great range, excellent mouse response.
Overall Review: If you need a cheap, reliable and long range mouse and keyboard set, look no further
Pros: refurbished and acting brand new. No problems with these at all! as fast as you're going to get on SATA II.
Overall Review: Got a great deal on a pair of these and I don't regret it. 230 mb/s on RAID 0, average.
Pros: Sufficient and efficient power for the average PC build. Excellent customer service, if ever needed.
Overall Review: If you can get it with a discount or mail-in rebate, it's that much more of a better deal
Pros: 3 Position adjustable brightness is nice, Long enough to completely encircle the inside of most mid-tower cases, pleasant and not too bright
Cons: Not enough brackets to do more intricate wiring. Proprietary PCI slot controller so that you can't start the strand from anywhere but in a PCI slot
Overall Review: Overall, I'm satisfied with the product. It gets the effect desired.
