Pros: Runs COOL and FAST! I have been putting this processor through its paces and have yet to completed max out all four cores. I also plan to use this as an entertainment PC connected to my TV and surround sound system, so the low power requirement of this quad core was very welcome.
Cons: The heat sink that came with it looks like it was taken straight from the Athlon dual cores. It didn't even completely cover the chips surface, only the center. However, it seems to keep the chip running nice and cool. However, the heatsinks that came with the old 140W Denebs would be nice.
Overall Review: People need to READ and not take away eggs. Taking away and egg because this is not an unlocked chip is not acceptable. If you want an unlocked multiplier, or if you want to overclock, buy the Black Editions. It is why they exist. This chip is for users who need a lower power quad core that will not be overclocked. So please people... Read, then research to make sure what you are buying will fit your requirements.
Works, but Frustrating
Pros: Keeps your computer safe from the scary internets....
Cons: Not at ALL transparent. It feels like it was cut from the same cloth as Vista. If you change the settings from its 'recommended' settings, it will continue to tell you there are critical errors that need to be fixed. Also, if it finds something it wants to take corrective action against, it will not tell you what that something is, nor what corrective action it plans to take.
Overall Review: Don't get me wrong.... for 90% of users this will work fine. But for those of us that want to do a bit more with our systems or have custom settings and custom home networks, you will find it a frustrating program to try and work with. It needs more transparency with respect to what it is doing.
Pros: The fans at default speed don't move a lot of air, which is easily remedied by setting custom fan curves in your motherboard bios. The fans move plenty of air if the are not fighting case pressure. I set mine up to pull into the case through the radiator, and have 3 other fans creating a negative case pressure to help them. Kept a 5800X Ryzen cool as a cucumber. The RGB mirrored pump top actually looks better in person. Creates a nice effect and can be dimmed or brightened via the MB rgb settings.
Cons: Wish the fans had a higher top rpm, as they would have a higher flow potential then. They are quiet though.
Overall Review: I would definitely buy this again for a Ryzen 5 or core i5 processor. I would even get it for a ryzen 7 or core i7, but would swap the fans out for those chips. I do cpu rendering that loads all cores for hrs, but the average gamer would probably be just fine.
Great card, won't break the bank
Pros: 1. Awesome price point 2. Faster that other cards at the same price 3. 8Gb memory (same as the 3070ti in my other pc, for 1/3rd the cost) 4. Rocks all games I've thrown at it at 1080p 5. Quiet fans, not like some of the competitors (looking at you msi) 6. Single power cable, makes routing a breeze
Cons: Asrock added actual knives to the fan blades, which turns moving a cable in your case while the pc is on into a scene from one of the saw movies. Rather than a knuckle rap if you mess up, you get sliced and diced.
Overall Review: I like the simplicity of this card. No needless rgb. Clean shell. Lots of outputs. Definitely recommend.
Much better than previous generation
Pros: Less restriction in the flow path for the vacuum impeller and filter. This reduces sound and should improve the suction power over the previous generation. The new pathing software seems smarter and less likely to get stuck, trapped, or have its battery die on the way back to its dock. The app is well done and should be easy to use for most people. Includes a pre-filter before the paper filter which should help increase filter life for the paper filter.
Cons: The paper filter is very small. I am an engineer that deals with filtration and this filter is miniscule, which tells me this vacuum isn't moving a lot of air. This can be validated by monitoring the vacuum air exhaust as well. I do like the design better than the previous gens filter though. The brushes/cylinders that pick up dirt and debris only cover the center half of the vacuum. It relies on a weak little spinning flipper brush to toss any debris toward the actual vacuum area. This means that this thing never actually vacuums near your walls or any obstacles. I had a competitor's model years ago where the brushes were the entire width of the vacuum. That thing did an amazing job by the walls and up against furniture, but I was eventually unable to find replacement parts for it, like batteries and filters and had to retire it. The dirt bin is hard to empty. The dirt gets pushed over a raised area and then when you go to empty it, everything gets trapped behind that raised area and won't come out. I have a short hair dog and all of the hair gets trapped in the bin and I have to try and pick it all out of the bin manually. This is actually pretty annoying and the reason I deducted an egg. There is absolutely no way this didn't come up during testing and someone at Roomba said....'well thats good enough, release the product' Unbelievable!
Overall Review: I have owned 5 different robotic vacuums from 4 different companies. (Still have 3, 1 for each floor of my home) They each excelled at different things and had downfalls. My previous generation Roomba (700 series) was pretty underwhelming and had some serious issues. These issues appear to have been addressed with the newest generation of Roombas. If you can get over the cons I listed, I would definitely recommend this for someone looking to buy a robotic vacuum for the first time, or adding another one to their home.
Great middle road drive
Pros: Inexpensive drive for mid tier computers
Cons: Not the fastest write speed, but most people do not need fast write. Software updates are limited by download speeds more than the 1-2 seconds a drive like this would add.
Overall Review: Unless you are writing massive data at high speeds, this is the right drive for most users. Users using rendering software, high end CAD software, or FEA software might want to check out the WD black instead. Otherwise, plug this guy in and enjoy keeping the extra cash in your wallet.
The drone looked really cool and came with 3 total batteries.... ...unfortunately when I tried to use the drone one propeller just flew off on take off. Put it back on and it flew off again. Replaced it with a spare, flew off again. The propellers are nothing more than interference fits on the motor shafts and I must have gotten a motor with an undersized shaft. Renders the drone unusable basically. :(
