Pros: Plug n Play (Vista and Seven recognizes the drive instantly) FAT32 Preformatted Cap opens only when squeezed and pulled from the side (it doesnt fall off as with my other drive) Shipping was fast. Drive was packed neat.
Cons: Little bit wider compared to other usb flash drives. This could be an annoyance if you have 2 usb ports next to next and plan to use both at the same time.
Overall Review: I mainly use it for transfering photos and documents. Need to test the transfer speed for large files. I see a lot of complains about the drive being slow for large file transfers.
Working after firmware re-install and reset
Pros: This is in response to my earlier feedback 'Failed after a month'. As suggested by Adrian, I re-installed the firmware and reset the adapters. It went to the default encryption key HomePlugAV and started working. Not sure if the encryption key that was paired earlier got corrupted after some time, as it was working for more than 3 weeks before failing.
Cons: I tried resetting the adapter multiple times after changing the encryption key to the default before re-installing the firmware, but that did not work. The software utility sometimes does not detect both adapters
Pros: Have been using this GPS in MN without any issues for about 10 days now. Garmin has free Map update if you register the unit after acquiring the satellite within 60 days of purchase. Most probably these refub units would have been registered prior. You could still register this unit and get the free (2010 map) update. Send out an email to garmin support, they would request you to send the newegg invoice. Send them and they would activate the free map update. For those who complain about weak or no signal, make sure that GPS has enough charge. Try turning off the GPS, then plugin the car charger then wait for sometime (about 10-15 mins). Then turn on the GPS (I too had this problem but it disappeared once I charge the unit). So far this unit has been a very good deal (with the free 2010 map update of course)
Cons: None so far
