Pretty nice laptop for the price
Pros: The processor is pretty snappy, decent amount of RAM to start with; seems fairly upgradable. With Linux installed, I have more harddrive space available and the system is really quick. I can even play a good amount of my Steam games on here.
Cons: Comes with Windows 8 installed. This was easily remedied by installing Ubuntu 12.04 however.
Overall Review: The USB ports are a little tight at first and the palm rests pick up a lot of prints, but these are not major concerns. I figured this would feel heavier, especially since upgrading from a netbook, but it is pretty light considering.
Awful rattling and noise
Pros: It functions.
Cons: I replaced my old fan that made a loud noise with this one only to find this face makes even worse noises than the one it replaced only a few days after being installed. I ended up just reinstalling the previous fan because I can tap it on the top and it stops making being loud. This one just keeps on going no matter what.
Doesn't Work With AM3+ Socket
Overall Review: Says it supports AM3+ Sockets but that doesn't seem to be the case. Moving the mounting screws into the right position does line them up but it does not actually screw into the mount plate at all. The screws are just a bit too big to thread in without pulling them all out and replacing them with different ones. Might work great on AM4 socket motherboards though. Will be returning this.
Greate Monitor
Overall Review: It's been hard finding a decently priced 24" 1440p monitor. Huge bonus that it's an IPS one with FreeSync. Had to jump on this while it was on sale. The colors look great too.
Slick and Easy to Install
Pros: I really like the design and airflow. I'm not big on RBG but I guess that's a plus for some people. It was really easy to get everything in there. Spacing was good.
Cons: So far none.
Overall Review: The area on the backside of the motherboard where the SSD's go could have been a little bigger. This is probably easy to overcome with better SATA power connectors but it was a little cramped getting the back panel on again; not worth subtracting an egg though.
Works great!
Pros: Plugged in, no drivers needed, and works perfectly. Allows me to easily switch between my speakers and headset.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: It was rather cheap so I wasn't sure it would sound very good let alone work but I was pleasantly surprised. It works perfectly and sounds great. Now I can quickly switch back and forth between my headset and speakers depending on what I'm doing.
Excellent transaction overall!
The item was sent from the manufacturer itself and made it here in quick order. It was shipped out same day even, as I recall. I did accidentally give the wrong shipping address which they promptly fixed when I contacted them about it. Overall the whole transaction was as ideal as can be!
