Excellent board
Pros: Easy installation Great price to feature ratio
Cons: Annoying board layout
Overall Review: This board is pretty good. It worked the first time I hooked it up with my A64 3800+ Venice. It automatically detected my two sticks of RAM and put them in dual-channel mode. It recognized everything that I put in on hte first try. The only minor problems was that it detected my RAM as DDR333, but you can easily change it back to DDR400.The board layout, however, is somewhat annoying. The bottom is way too crowded. All of the headers (chassis connectors, USB headers, CMOS header etc.) are at the bottom. The SATA and IDE connectors are directly above them. Because I have 2 IDE devices and 3 SATA drives, the cables really get in the way. It’s very difficult to get to the headers to change anything, like flash the CMOS if need be. I have to unplug some of my drives to get to it. But, if you plug in the headers before you put in your hard drives, you should be set. Also, the IDE connectors are a little too low on the board. My IDE cable didn’t reach my optical drives, and I had to buy a lo
Comments: I got this case a few months ago, and it's been great up until recently. The latch for the front panel snapped when I was opening it one day. It's very difficult to repair, so I now have to put a hinge in. The latch is so small and it can break very easily. This case isn't a good idea if you plan on opening the front panel a lot. Besides that, great, good looking case.
Pros: Reads BD-ROM discs without a problem.
Cons: Can be noisy at times.
Overall Review: Make sure you're prepared to play Blu-Ray movies before you get this. Have a decently powerful system and a software player that will play Blu-Ray movies.
Pros: Works without a problem in my Lenovo Thinkpad R400 (this RAM should also work in the R500, T400, and T500 Thinkpads). It runs at its rated speed and hasn't given me any errors.
Cons: Cliché "it's not free".
Overall Review: Make sure you have a 64-bit OS if this RAM will bring your system to 4GB or over so you can take advantage of the additional memory.
Pros: High capacity for a low price. Decent write speed (14MB/sec sustained). LED is small and unobtrusive.
Cons: Cheapish plastic, but as long as you don't hit it with a hammer you should be fine.
Pros: Very fast, pretty cool, and very stable. I haven't tried overclocking it yet, but I'm assuming it'll cater to my needs. 4 cores and SSE4.1 = unbelievably fast F@H and SETI@Home run amazing. The SSE4.1 optimized version of SETI running on four cores is about 6-7 times faster than my Athlon 64 3800+.
Cons: Runs not quite as cool as I was hoping, but definetely cooler than the older chips.
