Toshiba DVD/VCR COmbo DVR620
Pros: Very easy to use. Includes all the connections I need in teh back.
Cons: Did not come with DVI Cable. I was hoping for one. I still give it 5 eggs since this unit is very easy to use.
Overall Review: No tuner, the last one I owned had a Digital Tuner. This one does not, but no big deal, we are not at a time where you either need a Dish or Cable which provides the tuner.
Pros: Came with IDE_3.5-SATA power adapter.
Cons: Took a while for the 3.5 IDE Hard Drive to be detected. I have another IDE 2.5/3.5 that detects much faster. I purchased this one because it had the SATA adapter also.
Overall Review: Instructions do not help much - maybe someone much smarter then me can tell me what the small adapter is for that has two wires connected to a 3.5 IDE Power cord.
ASUS TUF Gaming A17
Pros: FAST, Powerful. Keyboard is very responsive. Love the flashing keyboard rainbow affect. Like the little raised bump on the W, F and J keys.
Cons: Heats up and fan is loud. NO DVD Drive. What is up with manufacturers not putting DVD Drives in Laptops anymore.
Overall Review: Very fast, Pretty quiet until fan starts up.
LaView 8 Channel DVR
Pros: Pretty easy setup. The manual was easy to understand. After installing all the cameras It was pretty simple to setup the monitoring, Website and Mobile phone app. Pretty clear picture, night time is a little more difficult but that is to be expected.
Cons: Sending messages to Cell phone got really annoying. Any motion at all from anything sent multiple texts. Disabled that. Other than that not too many cons from what I can tell.
Overall Review: I will probably buy two more cameras since this one came with six.
