Pros: EVGA customer support.
Newest instructions for newest games.
About 8 % slower than a GTX980 for $250 less.
OC'd mine to the FTW speeds.
Cooler works Great.
Got my back plate.
Picked up about 20 frames a second on my favorite games.
I can push a 3440x1440 widescreen with fine frame rates.
NO COIL NOISE. Quiet unless benchmarking in fact. Honest.
Cons: Makes noise from the fan if pushing the fans max... normal.
Back plate should have been ON the card not on order. Hassle.
No blinding difference to a GTX760 unless you want max settings.
Overall Review: SLI seems to befor people who have games that benefit from them and they make the plan but SLI needs to still be turned off for some games to play well.
No reason to pay $250 for 8% performance on theGTX980 -get this one.
I bought this using nowinstock.com
Pros: I still have faith in the Rosewill brand. I use thier mouse, mousepad with USB ports, keyboards, speakers. Newegg was easy to deal with for the RMA.
Cons: Rosewill tech support told me the transmitter was beginning to fail. It would not hold a signal at all. I would get 4 bars then zero suddenly. I simply got a lemon is all.
Overall Review: Because so many people report getting these that are needing immediate RMA I don't think I will come to Rosewill for adapters again. Rosewill please pull this piece of joy from you offerings or fix it and publish the recall.
Pros: Keyboard: Simplified and very responsive keypad. Soft touch and quiet. Great for a quiet build. Fast key response for games. Light weight. Doesn't feel like a compact laptop extension.
Mouse: Feels great in my hands. I have a medium man's hand but wide. It's really a nice fit. There is no software required for either.
The USB transmitter couldn't be smaller. Very plug and play for XP Pro, Vista, and Win7. LONG range. Both are quite accurate even at a distance over 7 feet -- no lag or skipps. Better than average battery life on both. Mouse and keyboard can be toggled On and Off to conserve power.
Very nearly perfect but see Cons:*
Cons: The mousewheel is not assembled properly on all three sets I bought. One is tilted too far to the left and has begun to squeak. Two are simply off center. They both work just fine.
Poor customer service. It is there though.
Customer service at I-Rocks USA (CA) does not answer the phone. They don't take long to answer or have bad hours ..I mean they do not answer. They do however provide some support via email. They were helpfull when I got them by email but this took more than one day for a response.
Overall Review: The mouse has a clickable third button on the wheel but it isn't programable of course. It applies that whole page scroll feature, can't exactly remember what it is called. This is a company with great designs/engineering and knows what we all want however they have got to get better assembly goining on.
Basicly a decent company with a very good product that has hit and miss quality. Overall 4 eggs. Five had I not received more than one item that should not have passed the quality assurance department and they function. SqueeekSqueeek... The lack of customer service should cost another 1/2 egg but no option there.
I'd buy again for the Pros:*
A response to this review from i-Rocks would go far for me. Thank you i-Rocks.
Pros: What a great set of speakers! Compact and ..I don't know how to express in words how much quality you're getting for the money. They really are excellent in design. Impressive sound. Rosewill does hit and miss but these are a winner. These speakers are worth the money if you like that space saving design. My wife and I were just in awe at how much output and the quality you get for the fifty bucks we paid. I just wanted sound and space saving. I was sipping my coffee and listening to these and just thought, "man, I have to leave a review for these". The box states High Quality Amp and speakers - verified. They aren't audiophile quality but remember what you paid for these. They have impressive stageing also ..they don't sound like one speaker. Adequate bass response for this design and actually better than adequate to me. Very solid construction. No drivers needed for Windows 7 and likely none for Vista --unverifie
Cons: Can't think of one even to nit-pick. Very very nice Rosewill.
Overall Review: Windows 7 detects them as a "add on USB cinema system". The audio and power pass through the USB 2.0 connection. I own Klipsch and Bose for the wife (she insisted on Bose) and although the Klipsch pee-pee all over these they are at least 75% of the Bose Companion II in my opinion. The Bose are fine but colored sound to me. These seem more natural sounding. I wasn't very organized in my review but hopefully someone will find it helpfull. These are a great choice and if you need the space saving and the design is also appealing I don't think you will beat these.
Pros: Low idle power consumption.
Probably the best Customer Support of hard drive makers.
Cons: Idle power consumption appears to have gone up on this model (WD10EARS) from what I see on the W.D. website but it is still below the 7watt and up average at 5.4w.
Not the greenest 1TB drive I don't think. Check Samsung and others first.
Overall Review: Samsung comes nowhere near the support level of Western Digital. Western Digital is a eally good company.
On Christmas 2010 I bought another two drives for my Raid array from Newegg. While migrating the new drives in I lost my array due to failed migration (brown out and no UPS - doh!) Western Digital customer support replaced 3 of my array drives free of charge just because they were of a different generation of the same model. For example: WD10EARS vs another WD aviar Green 1TB. The same drive but different revision or generation. They were replaced free of charge with a no-fee advanced shipping RMA. They also paid for shipping. The guy was working from the islands near the Gulf of Mexico was MUCH nicer and easier to understand than Asian/far East support centers. You can not beat thier hard drive support.
My experience is documented on a popular tech site forum in detail.
Thank you Western Digital.
Pros: They do use less electricity than normal drives - saves a few greenbacks especially if youre running 5 like me.
Tested with a Kill-A-Watt meter from Newegg.
NOT SLOW. Period. These drives are smart. They use 5400 spindle speeds when demand isn't on them and 7200 with a work load. I did not buy them for speed. Great for 24/7 operation. I think I love mine.
Cons: Not really any if you know what youre buying here--an energy conserving drive. Please believe me when I declare these drives as dependable as any other Western Digital drive. Near all drive failures are improper handling and operation or age and some damage may not become evident until later. It happens with all manufacturers. If you can't face the RMA I recommend you buy your drives elsewhere (and several online stores pack and ship very carefully) until Newegg begins to handle and pack their OEM drives. That said, I have never had a bad drive from Newegg in many many purchases since 2001. The Seagate series 11 drives (x3) all failed on me due to bad firmware but that's it.
Overall Review: I run mine in RAID 5 for a 24/7 file server at home. I'd only recommend these for storage drives or HTPC setups. You could certainly see better performance for a web browsing only type home computer but they would be fine for that also I suppose. They are not really fast but they are not slow, not slow at all, and you could say maybe a pinch slower than an average mainstream speedy drive.
Pros: High Quality construction inside and out. Partialy Made in U.S.A.
Real leather. Small size could be a plus for those of you who need it to be small for traveling. The lining will protect the camera finish. I will knock an egg for the cons below.
Cons: Too small.
There is no space for Any accessories: no cards, no batteries. The Lens Hood must be snapped to an outside strap (exposed) OR in a seperate accessory bag. Canon agents suggest trying a reverse of the Lens Hood to the camera to fit it in the bag and it does fit but plastics will scrape. Canon must want us to buy a seperate accessory bag even if it's only the items that came with the camera. I don't like that so minus one egg.
Overall Review: Stylish. Canon branding for a seamless style transition.
You carry strap is the one for the camera - it is meant to exit on each side where the zippers close to the sides of the snaps.
Pros: Near flawless keyboard and wireless mouse. Incredible battery life, rechargeable mouse (cord included). Mouse could be too big if you know you have obviously small hands ..average is ok. This fully featured wireless mouse is not too big. The signal is as good as Logitech claims it is (on thier website) and gets no interferance from my nearby other wireless set, bluetooth, and wireless N router. This is one of those solid Logitech products. I game with this. 9 feet tested so far. Perfect for me. Mouse replaced an MX518.
Cons: The hidden button is a little wonky (for lack of a better descrip.) and not usefull for games IMO.
Newegg was more expensive than buying direct from Logitech on this item. I did use a public cupon though.
Overall Review: Everyone familiar with the Wave series knows that the keyboard in this package is fantastic but the mouse, while maybe not fantastic, is also good enough anyone except the very most damanding gamer ..maybe a hypersensitive one. I am 5 foot 6 inches ..and am average build and the mouse is just about a perfect fit for my hand. Buttons are easy to reach.
Pros: This is probably the most feature rich and well rounded VIA platform boards available on Newegg. It is reasonably energy efficient although I have not measured exactly how efficient. The layout is good. Good board for an otherwise unused Intel CPU. The IGP is good for anything except real HD or new games. It will play games about 10 years old with no problem. 8x AGP. BIOS is decent. Hardly any Underclock capability and some Overclocking.
Cons: no Gigabit LAN port.
Overall Review: I have no way of knowing if this IGP board is more or less enegry efficient than a current Intel G31 or G33.
If you know your needs then this may suit you well.
Pros: The newest driver (RC6) fixes the hugely anoying and very wide spread problem with DDL dropping and either total sound loss or reverting to 2 channel. Fixed! Some stability that is overdue. Auzentech deserves every single negative review they have here on this product but they have fixed that terrible bug. I'd say you have a50% chance at least of having this issue with drivers before RC6. This makes the card much better.
Cons: They continue to use YOU to test thier drivers. Welcome to the BETA team if you buy. If it's OK with you then buy.
Overall Review: Made in Korea and United States developed. Thats a plus for me. This almost got returned and/or exchanged many times through the different driver releases but it paid off hanging in there. Auzentech I'm in your box.
Pros: Western Digital is one of the best if not the best in HDD's right now. My review is to Newegg and note of the discount...
Cons: Discount amount. See below.
Overall Review: This is only $1.00 cheaper than the new OEM. That said you'd probably not tell a difference and it's a dollar saved. Just a dollar, lol.
Pros: I do not own this drive. I disagree with ignorant 1 Egg reviews.
Cons: N/A "High Understanding" reviewer from 8/3/2008 5:59:13 PM
Your drive was dead because Newegg still hasn't changed how they handle, pack, and ship thier OEM drives for years. It's a gamble with OEM HDD's from Newegg and several others. Some dealers pack and protect thier OEM drives far better.
Overall Review: Your drive ! MORE Than Likely ! ..was damaged out of Western Digital's hands. I'd bet my country's future on it.
@ Newegg - post this unedited and you still have my eternal respect.
Man don't post ignorant ball sheet. Thanks
Pros: I didn't buy this so I will not comment but this company often makes their mainboards in the United States. We make excellent electronics also.
Cons: I didn't buy this so I will not comment.
Overall Review: "Never again for a workstation" -by N/A
I'd like to offset a prior review with 5 stars.
Your review, although you're entitled, isn't fair to this company or product. You did not state the mainboard overheated and stopped functioning. Most heat sinks that work well get extremely hot - very. Furthermore, if you didn't read the compatibility list then, again, why remark on the product? Give yourself a one star review dooder.
Pros: Better sound quality, yes.
Cons: Software. Absolutely terrible driver packages. Updates have added features and not addressed major problems many, not a few, users have. Customer support replies are nonsense ..but they do reply. Possibly a high amount of Lemons.
Overall Review: Read the negative reviews here. They aren't minor issues and they are more common than you'd think. I'd think about buying again but not before making sure there's been marked improvement in the Con's.
Pros: Rebate check recieved in 2 months which is OK for rebate times. Just followed the directions to the letter. Fantastic mainboard.
Cons: Just one PWM fan header. Should all be for this price range in my opinion. Not enough an issue to lessen my rating.
Overall Review: To ABIT: I'd like to see all the fan headers in Pulse Width Modulation (PWM 4pin type) instead of just one.
Pros: Absolutely Fantastic sound quality particularly in Music. You will hear details in music you have never heard before. Blows away my Audigy 4 Pro, It's noticeable. Another PRO is that it's not a Creative card. I can't say it's too good for games though.
Cons: I waited to write this review because I wanted to be sure. To be sure I didn't have a bad card. I was running Vista Ulti. 64 and it crashed and crashed games - the card did. Drivers or not this is NOT stable with Vista 64-bit. I would not count on it working trouble free with that OS. After many reinstalls I reverted to XP 32-bit and MOST troubles are gone. Better drivers needed. More documentation and help needed. More dedicated of better staffed customer support needed. Setup is not clear enough even especially for someone who hasn't used an X-Fi before. The technical problems on this card stem from Creative IMO.
Overall Review: All of my hardware is NEW and very HQ. I've built systems for about 10 years. 1998. I would not buy this card again but it has such potential is the support steps up. It crashes Oblivion. EAX will work but it's unclear wheather I need to disable the Dolby Digital Live with EAX on and that's when it crashes ..but otherwise you get 2 channel EAX. Overall an outstanding effort with little support. Likely beats a Creative X-Fi but I can't confirm the claim. This card seems to prefer certain system setups over others. Not entirely compatible with everyones computer from what I have been reading. Support tickets are slow going. Quality is very high. Korean made is a plus to me. It's not U.S. made but not Chinese or Japanese. Politics though.
Pros: Paid about $25.00 ($50.00 rebate) for this case including the shipping from Newegg. It's very well designed and made. The hard drive silencing is tops. The included fan isn't bad at all but not really too quiet - not loud. Filters in front fan sockets. Nice finish. Made to last.
Cons: Steel isn't a con but it's on the heavy side compared to aluminum. It's not the roomiest inside but you shouldn't have any problems.
Overall Review: No rebate payment just yet but I will update if no rebate from Antec in 12 weeks.
Pros: Once overclocked it's snappy enough. It's fast enough to keep anyone satisfied for web browsing and similar things. Experts don't recommend overclocking past 40% so I stayed there - about 2240Ghz. It's runninf Vista 32-bit ultimate for me nicely. The stock heatsink/fan on this model is actually fairly quiet and it'll cool well enough for a 40% overclock.
Cons: PRICE. Cost is just a bit too high in my opinion but it's not a bad deal. I think 60.00 would be more reasonable. Stock speed isn't too snappy.
Overall Review: If you're getting this then make sure you can overclock it at least 200Mhz (1.8Ghz) with your hardware. Decent Deal.
